Tracking symptoms and reality checking

I've been asked by the nurses to try and keep tabs on when, how intense and the content of my hallucinations (the ones I know are really hallucinations). I'm also to do more reality checking at present as my auditory and visual hallucinations are really getting on top of me. The question is, is there a way I can do this online (the symptom tracking I mean). I know there are mood trackers but is there an online tracker for hallucinations for the psychotic symptoms that anybody knows of? Also how exactly does one do reality checking?

Re: Tracking symptoms and reality checking

Hi Queenie

As far as I know there is no such system to track your hallucinations. I think the best way to do this would be to type your experiences up in a word document so you can save them and emaul them as needed.
As far as reality check goes I found this hope it helps:

A reality check is a method of deducing whether one is in a dream or in real life. It usually involves an observation of some sort of sensory observation, usually visual. Most induced lucid dreams involve a reality check of some sort. A dream sign is a form of reality check that is more or less unique to the specific dreamer.

Goodluck

Re: Tracking symptoms and reality checking

Hi @DIZ710 I didn't think there was an online tracker for psychotic symptoms either. I think I'll keep an Excel spreadsheet and then email that to my pdoc as required. I'm also thinking of seeing a psychologist (I don't and haven't for years).

Thanks for helping me out 🙂

@Queenie. This is a great idea. I'm sure it will prove helpful and be a big success.
Good on you for thinking of your next step - a psychologist.
