Re: Christian Chat

Hi @Sam3 .....

Generally when there is an issue or particular behaviour that is bothering is, there is a treatment plan or set of strategies that can help.

You have identified that you have a major struggle with an “overactive” mind.

I had a quick look at this link -

https://m.wikihow.com/Calm-an-Overactive-Mind

and it was full of suggestions .... perhaps too many to consider at once.  If you skim read it, there might be something in particular that stands out to you, like the part that says “what is your anxiety trying to tell you - instead of trying to shut it down, hear what it is trying to warn you about and focus on dealing with that bit, which can calm your thoughts for a while”.

Prqcticing self-helps strategies can make a big difference.  Otherwise, there are counsellors who specialise in these areas to seek advice from, and perhaps be guided through applying the techniques.

Have you spoken with your doctor ?  A CBT course might help you.

Re: Christian Chat

"Remember to breathe" is often quoted on this forum.

Our breathing is part of nature's cycle.

"We breathe in what the trees breathe out, they breathe in what we breathe out ... forever overwhelmed by the beauty of God's design" (Sabrina Barich)
