Re: EMDR - Has anyone done this
I think people are under the spell of modernism. They are so stuck in their own world at times.
Do what you can to gradually improve the situation.
I've had birthdays on my own before. In the end it's just a day.
It may sound cheesy or lame but sometimes it pays to be our own friend when things are tough. If we avoid becoming our own worst enemy then this means we can be a bit nicer to ourselves

Re: EMDR - Has anyone done this
@Former-Member A lot of people do not realise it takes a lot EXTRA to study and run groups and when confidence and self esteem are
Finding a social situation to belong has been very difficult for me so I can really relate. I often dont know whether to stay or leave different groups. DO what you have to do to keep your little family unit rolling along. You dont owe peple an explanation ...

Re: EMDR - Has anyone done this
Yeah woke up feeling sad again
The effort im putting into trying to rent a hall to teach from is really upsetting me.
Its very hard for me to be around people when i have so little.
Its like asking the average person to be in a room full of philanthropists.
Thats what it feels like
& listening to their conversations is very hard too. They talk about things i cant relate to & i know then that theyd never relate to my life so i keep quiet.

Re: EMDR - Has anyone done this
im sorry to hear of your past and the struggles you faced with your studies. I do know the impact that trauma can have in all aspect of life including studies. You should be proud though that you have completed your studies now.
I hope the approval for the hall will come around quickly so you can start doing your exercise classes.
Would it be possible to hold your exercise classes in a more open area such as an open grass space near a park? I know theres quite a few fitness instructors who do that where I am rather then having in a gym or centre sort of setting.

Re: EMDR - Has anyone done this
I looked into outside & council expected me to pay 100's
Anyway i teach using resistance bands & theyd break.
Govt/council halls r all full with other classes.
Itll surely come thru this hall. I only need 2 to cover cost of hiring hall.
Ive got that.
Im looking into studying aqua as its huge in this town + suited to older adults & those with injuries same as my resistance band class.
I just get so stressed with studying. Its overwelming me just thinking about it
However whilst i have little work & my son still at sch i should do it.
Finances will drop drastically once he finishes sch & i need to b able to provide for myself
