Hey @Molliex  Happy Birthday xxx

Sorry to hear that you injured yourself quite badly.   Maybe show your gp tomorrow?   I am glad you had a nice party, sending hugs (((💕💕💕)))

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Talking about intrusive thoughts. I have a periodic rental inspection tuesday, and that pesky voice in my head today says
"that would be a good time to die... to be found... They are strangers, it won't bother them, and the dog would be rescued, and you won't be left to the maggots"
😮 😟 WT# 😢
Does anyone else get these kind of frightening thoughts and images out of the Blue like this? I don't want these thoughts 😭 How can I create such thoughts? Now I have to fight not acting on it the next 48hrs. Hate this.

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

That's not a fun thought to have @Former-Member. Yes, I get thoughts like this. I've been learning to just acknowledge that it's a thought, but not engage with it or fight it.

I might say, "oh I notice I'm having the thought about dying again. It's just a thought".

I hope you'll get through these next days ok EOR. Here if you need me x💜💜

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

This week has had its ups and downs. Beginning of the week I wasn't great, I think the fires had my anxiety soaring. As the week has gone on, I've been doing a bit better. Have been incorporating mindfulness into some everyday activities like running and cooking.

The SH is still there, but I did manage to not do it for a couple of days, which is positive. I have a couple of friends who I've told (and shown) and they've been really supportive.

My Nan is just sleeping now. She's on a pain medication drip, so the end is close. I'm doing ok with this, but it might be different once she's actually gone.

I have a couple of pdoc appointments next week. Just gotta keep working on it, even though sometimes it all seems hopeless.

@Molliex  It was a good feeling reading that you have supportive friends. Not all understand. They might be worth hanging on to.

I can only imagine your feeling around the situation with your nan, and yes, the end might be different, we only know when it happens.

Your running and mindfulness sound a positive atm, good on you.

All the best with your appointments next week. And yes, gotta keep working on it, even when it feels hopeless. 💜💜💜💜💜💕💕💕
