Re: Introduction

I thought you might like these @Sophia. I don't want to overwhelm you though, I know you're tired and there are a lot of posts you want to read first. I think they're very beautiful. Could only do screen shots because it wouldn't let me download the picture so ignore all the bits and pieces and the prices and stuff.

Checked out the whole cultural appropriation thing, he was friends with the local tribe and was respectful. (Sorry for being overly PC again...)

Re: Introduction

Hello  @LeChuck

Thank you so much for introducing me to Harold Mason.

I had not heard of him.

Lithographs are so beautiful in concept

as are cartoons

I went off on another tangent (of course) and opened up new explorations for me

only just starting with the aspects of Hopi culture and indigenous knowledge that katsina names contain.

So much more.

This is indeed for me a gift.

Thank you also for caring. Let me reassure you that you are not overwhelming me.

I am tired and drained from life as all of us here can become.

I am just starting to acknowledge it and own it as I did burn out.

Not letting that happen again.

I was tired yesterday, from medical appointments re results of MRI tests on brain and spine.

Two different days, Friday and Monday. Two different specialists one a brain specialist and the other my neurosurgeon follow up review from past surgery.

Thank you for the music.

I play away the songs that yourself and @tonys have sent me as I read your posts.

Trying to catch up on all the posts.

So many laughs that I want to reply to.

Re: Introduction

@Oaktree

I hope you  realise what a wonderful  community the three of you @tonys and @LeChuck started here.

Remember virtual letters when we were on a roll.

It is hard to bring people together and have that.

I believe that it eventuates because the people want that deep down and when they feel safe to be more themselves, relax and have fun....the joy that brings is immeasurable.

@tonysyou have been expressing this of late in your beautiful poetic way often referring to kingdom.

At one stage you mentioned trenches and the world is at war with itself.

Yes, I agree.

We are at war with ourselves at times and can find ourselves in trenches on our own.

Here we can roll over laughing and be ourselves, becoming one, a very special community that you cannot invent.

The people who are part of it make it.

Can we come back together again?

I do not judge any of you. I think that we are all human and deal with things in our own way.

I know that you might tell me to not take things so seriously.

This is not actually seriously. This is me. This is apart of my depth that I harp on about.

Yes I opened up bravely about being sensitive because the world does not really understand the true meaning.

Sensitive is seen as a trait where you have to tread on eggshells around someone.

That is not what sensitivity is at all.

Another human trait that is just being opened up about and explored more closely so therefore the majority people see exactly like you all did.

Sensitivity is about feeling things at a far deeper level than the person who is not sensitive.

My heart is huge and I reach out with compassion and tears to help another.

It is instinctively not planned.

It is who  I am.

I wrote elsewhere that I cannot change. @tonys your response allowed me to go back and look at that statement.

I do not need to change who I am. I can change how I respond to others who question me. I can make a choice to let it go.

I am going to start a new thread to talk about it.

I am bringing this up so that you do not have to tread on eggshells with me.

I am very honest also and this again is about me not the person I am talking to.

Bottom line is

Bring back the fun....we all can look after ourselves....

respect is here already...

S.N.A.CS   why not.

Again this is not pointed at you ....this is trying to help you understand me a little better so that you can just be yourselves around me and not worry about me if you are.

I am actually very strong.

Re: Introduction

Hello @Sophia1      The human hearts a million beats,     don't  waste a single one.

a lost mind has a million tears,   please don't let them block the sun.

A song bird has but one true song ,   your heart it yearns to sing

A song that free's your captive soul.  Your dove takes to the wing.

                           I'll  finish that......   one day

Now   wasn't   TuesdayT meant to be . . .   song day....   I recon one each..

This song was a park bench we all sat on at one time or another...

Re: Introduction

All wise things from you @Sophia1, as usual. Trust me I think you are strong as all hell and I agree with you about sensitivity as a huge depth and strength of emotion. I tend to walk on eggshells 24/7. It comes from my own fears that i will accidentally cause harm, as I have done before. I'd never thought of it from the perspective of someone else. Thank you. I'll pack away my eggshells for when I might actually need them. Sometimes I'm just trying to be considerate but I reckon you should sheriff the sheriff if I start to do it again. Gimme a bit of that dry humour and tell me to I need to stomp a bit more or step on a banana instead.

Re: Introduction

@Sophia1   tonys has a very simple heart and in it,   we were never  apart.  We are but ,  four component parts of a single entity that will  always share a bond what ever thread or trail we ride

on.

We leave our  rags of  pride ,  ego,  and malice and walk naked to that waters edge inside us, I so often

speak of. .

Four  souls,  . . .    one white horse.   Each new day. . .   a chance to rewrite,  our life... in full stride. . . .

@Oaktree     @LeChuck    Our trails   crossed for a reason..                 tonys   mb  1
