Re: Self-Care with major Physical illnesses
Thanks @Shaz51 I shall send lots of Hugs back to you.
As it sounds like you are having a rough time yourself.
Drs did not suggest any food restrictions, so no so far.
They did say to avoid taking any Anti-Inflammatories.
Which is tough, because only Anti-Inflammatories help with/ ease my Shoulder pain (both shoulders) & Neck.
I have had 2 Baby Budgies + 2 Baby Bengalese Finches, come out of their Nests in the past few weeks.
Sadly 2 Adult Bengalese Finches escaped from Aviary on Saturday (2 days ago) - Whilst I was cleaning Aviaries & filling Seed & Water.
They are very hard to get/ find to buy now.
They're gone for good.

Re: Self-Care with major Physical illnesses
@Shaz51 Fisiocream I had not heard of so have not tried it.
Thanks.
Shall ask Chemist if they stock that one.
Yes one step at a time here too.
Sometimes just an hour at a time or so here.
Mostly very small steps forward - I wish mine were Bigger....

Re: Self-Care with major Physical illnesses
@Shaz51 I have just ordered some cream - To try it & see if it helps.
Thanks.
Referral from GP to see a Haematologist, was in February - because high blood Platelet count.
No response no appointment notice in 3 months since then.
Medical Centre Receptionist said there is no contact phone number for state health services, to follow-up or ask what happened to my Referral (sent 14th February) - Referral was sent through Electronically.
So all she could do was send my Referral through again this afternoon (3 months later).

Re: Self-Care with major Physical illnesses
Hi @Shaz51 Thanks so much for thinking of me.
You are a very caring sort.
Physically I'm exhausted - Working even 3 days every week (per week) has been taking more out of me than I've got.
I've been doing this Council Parks & Gardens work for the past 10 months, as a Casual (through an agency).
So I still check in on the Forums several times every day - yet don't have any energy the write any Posts.
I was reading Posts & pushing Support Button, until recently - Now I'm not even managing to do that much.
Still no Follow-Up, no Treatment resulting from any of the Scans & Tests that I had, at the beginning of this year.
My Divorce went through on September 30th - After 12 years Separated. Have not seen my ex since 2010.
I've just been Successful (after a 2 months Selection Process) in being offered a Permanent Parks position - Yet it involves working 4 to 5 days (per week), instead of my current 3 days per week.
So I'm not sure how I will cope with the extra demands on my body.
All the Best.
Hopefully will talk to you & others soon.

Re: Self-Care with major Physical illnesses
Hey @Adge,
I am fairly new to the forums so haven’t seen you round. I hope to see you more when you are up for it ❤️
is the new role negotiable?
