On Thursday 21st December 2023, we will be holding a Peer Group Chat on the topic of Seeking Silver Linings (this will be the LAST Peer Group Chat for the year!) 

Holding a space for hope can be really important in fuelling our recovery journey and helping us find the silver linings in our experiences, especially those that are harder. Let’s come together to explore how holding space for hope might help us, and what we could do to cultivate more hope in our lives.

The event start times across Australia are below:

This is currently held in daylight savings hours:

WA: 4pm 
NT: 5:30pm

SA: 6:30pm 

QLD: 6pm

NSW, ACT, VIC & TAS: 7pm 

For anyone unfamiliar with Peer Group Chats, each focuses on a specific topic and is guided by Peer Workers with lived experience of mental health issues and recovery, &/or caring for someone with complex mental health. A counsellor is also present as a moderator to help ensure a safe environment for individuals and the group. It is a space for us as peers to share our stories and experiences, and connect with those who are going through something similar.

Hi Everyone, 

After the live chat this evening, I wanted to invite reflection on silver linings you might have discovered following a hard or challenging time. If you'd like to engage in this discussion, please keep our guidelines in mind, particularly around safety, both for yourself and others, but I would love to hear, for anyone who feels comfortable to share, about a silver lining that you've discovered or realised after going through hardship 😊
