Your picnic sounds lovely @Shaz51
Yesterday I happened to be waiting at the library for my covid vaccine appointment at 2pm. It was 40 degrees yesterday so hubby dropped me at the library on his way to work so I didn’t have to walk too far in the heat. Anyway while I was there they announced that because it was wellness Wednesday that there would be a free half hour meditation in meeting room 1. So of course I stopped reading my book and went along. It was so lovely. Peaceful music playing in background and a lady leading us through the meditation. I think they do it at the same time every week. Might try and go along again.

Is your back any better today @Shaz51 ?
As we speak my poor husband is having a cortisone injection in his back. He has a bulging disc and has been in pain for a month now. Still going to work (he's a builder!), so was never going to get better because he can't/won't rest. x

That's so nice @Oaktree . What a great surprise to have the meditation. I love libraries, always find the books soothing. So meditation is a bonus! How did you go with the covid vax? I am thinking about getting a booster before I go to Japan in Feb. I had covid in May so my immunity would be down, I am sure!

Hi @hanami
No issues with the covid vax besides an upset tummy last night and a slight headache today. All in all pretty good. I had the pfiser. Last time I had the m*** and reacted to that but had no issues with previous A*** and p*** vax’s. I would rather get the vax and get a weaker dose of covid if I am unlucky enough to pick it up. It is likely as I am volunteering at the children’s hospital. They have re-introduced the mask mandate in public hospitals here from the 20th November.
