lost

Hello,I don't know if I belong here, I am on mild depression medication but I feel normal yet I know I'm not. I feel like I know what I should do but I don't.i have no desire for a relationship, I hide my self away on the weekends, feel really lazy and my house is deteriorating around me. I self medicate and generally feel like there is nothing to look forward to so I don't bother which is what I find so confusing. Which is why lost describes me I think

Warm welcome to the forums 🙂

from our end you absolutely belong here, the forums have been created with the aim of making a safe anonymous space for anyone who has or has previously had a mental health issue and wants to connect with others (which is done on your terms at your pace if you want to). from your end does this feel like it could be a good fit for you? did you have paricualr hopes for logging on? or just want to say hi and see what happens?

if you just want to chat there are a few threads where people just catch up for example the Friday Feast and some of the other special days the Night Shift thread which actually goes 24/7 or the Beer Garden

Am i right in thinkng that you would like things to be different? perhaps posting to others or waiting for a response could be one thing to begin to look forward to?

Hi @windsor

You are very welcome here and we all belong, no matter who/what/where/why we come here. Sorry to hear that things feel so lost at the moment. I find it hard to find any motivation at the moemnt, and then if i do find some motivation i have no concentration to follow through! drives me crazy and i tend to feel a bit useless at times, though i'm told to be kind to myself!

I know at times i get better, and things go ok, so hopefully things will get back on track soon. you said you are on medication to help, are you getting any counselling or other help? i see a psychologist who helps with ideas about getting things done, i have a bit of a daily plan at the moment to help me structure things a bit better and get some exercise etc.

hope that you find some support here and company. There are some threads around the place that are good for chatting/socialising as well as talking about health stuff like the night shift and on friday nights there is the friday night shift where people just socialise and chat.

you sound a bit like how I feel - especialy the house-deteriorating-around-me bit.... Hope it helps to know you're not alone.
