Re: Battles

@MJG017 but I'm great at making my life even harder than it already is. It's a skill i have 😂. You don't put me to sleep, but you do help to calm me down by just being here with me and reminding me that I'm safe.

Well since your immune to my powers of slumber, I guess have to stay here for a while chatting and keeping you safe while you wait the sleep the old fashioned way.

Re: Battles

@MJG017 if you need to go to sleep though that's ok, don't let me keep you awake. My brain needs to chill out with the intrusive thoughts.

That's okay.  In just relaxing and watching some TV.  I can stay with you for a while.  It's easier to fight the intrusive thoughts when someone is with you.

Re: Battles

Thankyou @MJG017. Are you watching anything interesting?

It's definitely easier when you know you're not sitting alone with those intrusive thoughts. I've been doing so well lately to not SH, so I'm trying so hard to not go back down that path despite those urges being so strong.

Re: Battles

@Dreamy

I'm just watching Cobra Kai.

Most things are easier when we're not alone.  So we'll just have to sit here to let those urges know they're not welcome here.

Re: Battles

@MJG017 never heard of that one.

They are definitely not welcome here, I wish I could make them go away.

You got any plans for tomorrow?

Re: Battles

@Dreamy

It the Netflix series that follows on from the original Karate Kid movies.

No plans tomorrow at all.  But Thursday is busy   Day 2 of my Cancer Council training and then straight off to Hindmarsh for a study hub for my course.

Don't let those thoughts in.  Fight them like you've fought everything else your whole life.  Everything you've taken and you're still here fighting!  The calm hermit crab remember.

Re: Battles

@MJG017 ohh sounds interesting. I like the karate kid movies.

So relaxing tomorrow before the busy day on Thursday. Hopefully all goes well on Thursday for you.

I'm trying to fight them but I'm also getting exhausted from having to fight that battle. The calm, cosy, safe hermit crab. Someone flick that off switch for my brain.

Re: Battles

@Dreamy

It all the original people from the movies.  It just finished it's final season.

I know you're exhausted.  Anyone would be.  But you still keep fighting.  That takes a hell of a lot!  More than most could manage.  We're both trying to figure out the secret to that switch but we haven't found it yet, so the hard way it is.  Those thoughts may have won some battles in the past, but they can't win the war.

If it helps to put some nicer thoughts in your head, Luna just jumped up for cuddles but has just jumped down to play with one of her springs.
