Re: Battles

@MJG017 well my blankets are soft and cosy unlike a hard shell.

You should do it, have a nice early night and get lots of sleep. I'm thinking of doing the same. Whether i can actually sleep or not is a different matter.

An early night would be nice.  That's the one thing I love about winter.  The weather is cold and horrible outside and then just go to bed and wrap yourself up in the blankets is so comforting.

Are you still feeling like you're getting calmer?

Re: Battles

@MJG017 it would be. Yes winter is great for cuddling up with a blanket. Unlike summer where if you try to wrap yourself up in a blanket you might just cook yourself 😂

I was doing well to calm down but just got triggered by some loud bangs outside. So I'm back to square one. There's lots of sirens outside which always puts me on edge.

Anyone would think the universe just likes messing with you wouldn't they?!  Stay 'hermited' and hopefully it calms down outside very quickly and you can calm down again as well.  Take it as a sing that curled up in the blankets is where you need to be right now.  All warm, cosy, and safe.

@MJG017 yeah I'm not moving from where I am. Just trying to breathe and remind myself that I'm safe.

You're the hermit crab remember... you're safe as long as you stay in your shell.  It's just us here now, staying cosy and calm.

Re: Battles

Thanks @MJG017. I'm starting to calm down again, just very slowly.

As long as it's heading in the right direction, that's a win.  You've got this, just be patient, relax and wait for the calmness to keep flowing in.

Re: Battles

@MJG017 just want to be calm enough to be able to sleep. Trying to have patience but getting myself worked up cos it's taking so long. Not helpful at all I know.

You know life is hard enough with us making it even harder on ourselves.  Focus on being calm for now.  Plus you're chatting to me.  That's been know to put people into deep slumbers! 🤣💤
