Hopefully you do get to catch-up with these people in the future.  But I totally get your doubts.  I've heard the same thing many times, even from family... and I'm still waiting.  So zI understand not wanting to get your expectations too high.

 

It is definitely difficult to do things one at a time when there's som much!  But it's easier than trying to deal with everything at once.  Unfortunately there's no easy way.  But prioritizing and tackling a small number at a time can make it feel less overwhelming. Hopefully this support 'in other ways' can make it a bit easier for you.

 

It just sucks that you have to go through all of this with the courts, dragging up all these memories in top of the new stresses.  I'm sorry that crap keeps piling up for you.  You deserve far better.  As always, we're here if you want a chat or some distractions.
