Makes perfect sense, @Blackcloud , and is all too accurate I'm afraid. And it's no longer just the soulless computers beeping away in some Canberra data farm that regards us as mere numbers, either. I think it's also become the 'professionals' we turn to for help, who have to meet us face-to-face and supposedly ought to appreciate the fact that we're real people.

You can forgive the computers and the miles-away beaurocrats for seeing us as just another data file. But when you get treated that way by people face-to-face, it really drains you of your faith in humanity.
