Interestingly, @Glisten, it's only since the 19th century that women and girls have been allowed to go to the gym. Before the 1880s in the West it was illegal for women and girls to enter a gym, and from the 4th century AD until the 16th century the churches banned physical exercise altogether as a demonic practice.
