Great post @Jynx !
For me, R U OK? day is not so much triggering, but annoying. People would just walk up to me and ask 'R U OK?' - no that they really cared, nor was it asked in a genuine way.
By all means, if it take bright yellow and a 'DAY' to ask, so be it, however, I challenge everyone to make it more than just a one day affair.
If you see someone, genuinely ask, "Are you okay?" Then, part 2 is actually being an active listener!
How many have experienced someone asking you if you are okay and when you try to answer, they are not even listening!
So yes, we are all surviving. Some are thriving, but it's absolutely okay to just be surviving today.
Hugs to you all!
