Welcome and getting started

Introduction

Re: Introduction

Oh no wonder you went walkabout @LeChuck. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the sandwiches. There’s so little to find joy in in hospital. I hope you find your way out of there soon. I was pleased for you that you are letting your team handle things for awhile. Life can be so tiring can’t it? Anyway.. hang in there,

Ready for some seriously good news?

After almost 3 years unemployed Hubby got a job today! He starts next week. It’s only part time but it’s really going to help a lot.

How did the ute look?

Are you going to buy it?

What kind and colour is it?

A ute is my dream car.

Would come in handy for moving things and buying things.

Re: Introduction

Hi  @Oaktree    sorry  ,    just got home,   The My  cousin wants to buy a Cab chassis,  but we got a shock.   the waiting lists for new ones are up to 12 months.   took her to a few places for a test drive.   She likes the hilux and the isuzu d max.  but none around to sell us.   saw a few in

Perth on the net.  Has to be 2.8 ltr or 3 ltr diesel. Lots off dual cabs around,  but she needs the

8 foot tray.

with less than 2000 klms on the dial,  so hope they might be ex demo.  Long way to go for a car

but,  we do what we must.  Have to ring up tomorrow.     If you see one. . . yell out.

Got a few big days coming up so might not get to thread much.  Hope you are all well.

@LeChuck .    I like sandwiches to mate and they are always better if someone else makes them.   I  always put too much in them.   Less is more.  Its a  . .  little old lady,  lost  art.

@Sophia1 .    Hope you are well.   were going to have to have a good old sit down. soon as

the pace slows here.  I have a poem  half finished for you,  and just cant seem to finish it.

Just need a good days rain for an excuse to have a day off.

How's   toon town holding up,   have not even had a chance to book a room today,

remember that movie  ,    'who framed roger rabit"  think there was a toon town in that.

Keep safe and warm my dear friends.     thinking of you,   tonys   mb 1

G nite    mate. .    t 2gns

Re: Introduction

Omg @Oaktree that is fantastic! I'm so excited for you two!

@tonysyep, think you need some rain so you can take a day off and put your boots up on the bar, grab a bottle of whisky and start telling tall tales. Cooked any bush Tucker masterpieces lately??

Re: Introduction

Hi @LeChuck @tonys @Sophia1

Hubby’s knees aren’t too good and he actually has a specialist appointment about them on the 27th of this month. His new employer sent through an email last night suggesting that they wait and make his first day of work the 1st of May so we know what’s going to happen with his knees first. Makes sense because if he gets the surgery he will be off work for 6-12 weeks.

I was a bit disappointed because I was so excited that he had finally gotten a job.

@tonys

I would welcome some rain so you could take a day off and tell me some tall tales. I am busy trying to come up with something to tell. Thinking out the problems with it though.

Re: Introduction

OH   Meggle.   I'm so sorry  mate.   I was excited wright next too you. . .

But,   I   was concerned too.    My cousin  had a knee and a hip done,   she  said the knee was a much longer haul.  But don't let it get you down.  If you are any thing like me,  when your partner

is there,  its like two old slippers snuggled up.  All things at the right time mate.

My book keeper moved in to get away from her hubby before Christmas.   We hammer each other with banter every day,   but we can't stand to be more than a meter apart.   Just

supporting  each other at our age is a full time job. . .

@LeChuck    How are you mate.   pressed cucumber sanga's on the bar mate. If you anything like me ,   I like the mixed plate,  cut surgically into perfect triangles.

what else do you get up to Lechuck.   Hope they've got the heater cranked.  Hope your

compass points north mate. . .

@Sophia1   my dear friend.   Cyclone over the horizon,  hurricanes in our hearts,  and

maelstrom of twisters in the corners of our minds.

                   The perfect storm.  .  .  .

toon town is   built of stern stones with a dream coat render of hopes and dreams.

Arms around each other,   we will always find safe refuge in this place.

                tonys   2guns. . .
