Re: Daughter with BPD

hi @Dominique21 @Jessicaa11 @David402 @Chloe7 @Diamond_

im wondering how you are all going in terms of the BPD world?

 Hope you are all okay.

BPD is tough, but definitely worthwhile.

Re: Daughter with BPD

I’m a male with BPD. It’s a horrible disorder. People with BPD just want to be loved but spend a lot of time sabotaging relationships which is so painful. We ruin the very thing we want.

I’ve done a lot of work on myself and have learned to hold my temper and control myself but it’s so hard, even after all the work.

i wish i could help you and your daughter. I feel the only people who really “get it” are those with the disorder. For the rest of you it’s just painful because you feel out of control.

my thoughts are with you both.

Re: Daughter with BPD

Hey @wishiwasntme ,

Hearing you and I totally get it. I've lived with BPD for most of my life. I was diagnosed in my early adulthood and I felt I lost much of my life because of BPD.

I can relate to what you said about feeling out of control. The emotional roller coaster is so so intense. At the same time, please know things can and do get better.

I'm in a much much better place now in life. I don't regret having BPD because I've learnt a lot, so please know you are not alone.

I've been there. I've lived a BPD life. I've had many many struggles, yet I can smile at the other end of it.

Hang in there mate. It's a rewarding journey (even if it doesn't feel like it now).
