Re: Running

@avant-garde thanks!! Haha it's actually from SANE, they ran a little promotional dealio couple years back, I think for the StigmaWatch program. A message I will always stand by!! 😁

Re: Running

Wow @avant-garde ,

I just read your testimony... wow.

Thank you for sharing. There is so much in that, and just like Job, your faith did not fail you.

It reminds me of the promise:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:7)

Re: Running

@tyme

They're just the faith aspects, my full testimony is at 8 pages.

My faith holds me together when everything is falling apart and when it's not falling apart too

Re: Running

I hear you @avant-garde . That's what keeps you going. Thank you for sharing.

Re: Running

@tyme

It's hard when your faith is doubted or questioned when you've fought so hard, been persecuted, abused, have suffered, your entire Christian life for the sake of your faith...

I have a series of writings titled "western persecution" for when I get so so angry at how naive western society is to think Christians in Australia don't suffer like in third world countries, don't get persecuted.

It's not that we don't, it's that we're better at hiding it...

If people knew how much I suffer for my faith they would never doubt it.

Re: Running

I hear you @avant-garde .

I hear how much you have pushed through to keep your faith. Letting go is easy. Staying strong takes effort.

Upholding you in prayer

Re: Running

@Jynx

Turns out they're just at incompetent as the rest of the government...

Victim support just said to call the specialised government department that told me to talk to my therapist who told me to talk to victim support...

Here we go round the mulberry bush...

Round and the round the garden...

And victim stop support told me to just ask the police to give me a female officer in the room.

The last time I did that I got stuck with 2 males who told me I was wrong...

All it says is that the perpetrators who do this are more important than the survivors! That's what it says!

Re: Running

@avant-garde oh lawwwwd I hate that for you!! Round n round the mulberry bush indeed... I swear it's almost like people heard the quote "insanity is doing the same thing over n over and expecting different results" and were like 'ooooh should we make that the ENTIRE experience of the people we're supposed to be helping?' smh

Also can't believe they ignored your request for a female officer!! Isn't that against the law? So horrible. I hope this time round they actually get their crap together.

You got some ongoing support from a mh professional or org during all this I hope?

Re: Running

@Jynx

Yeah, the one I am seeing isn't horrible and has been on holidays. I'm her first appointment straight off the bat tomorrow. I'll be glad to see her, it's been 3 weeks. She'll be proud of me and not surprised at my church, that's the usual response. I have a fidget sized cushion that she's designated for me. It's purple.
