Tuning out of existence

Has anyone experienced the feeling when Ur doing something and kinda wake and it's done or your off doing something else and u have to readjust your self, work out what's happened and what you're doing? It's like you stepped out of your body and it kept going and you came back and have to work out where things are at now?

Re: Tuning out of existence

Hi @ClockFace

I think this is pretty common so I hope others can chime in with experiences. I feel like what you're describing is entering a different state of consciousness, would you agree?

Hope you're recovering well from your surgery.

@ClockFace Yes it’s called dissociation. Very common for people with Mental health problems to have it. Also very common for trauma survivors.

Yeah its like no consciousness, like Ive been beemed out of my body and put back. Its really I dunno the word but I know enough not to fall over etc but I am sorta working things out quickly and catching up with whats going on.

Recovery is good. Im actually out of the pain they are trying to treat. Im still sore from the procedure and I figure muscle fatigue from years of not using/not using them properly. But Im in the least pain Ive been in over 20 years. Pain specialist appointment tomorrow, Im expecting we will move on to the full procedure later this year and hopefully no issues from this one.

Re: Tuning out of existence

@ClockFace that's great about your recovery going well.

Also, I kinda like the idea of out of body experiences. There's some interesting stuff about healing from trauma using different states of consciousness. And also finding peace during those out of body experiences. Interesting.

Hope you have a great day!
