Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

An Old/ previous Horrace Picture would be fine @Sophia1 Thanks.

I cannot come up with or think of one right now.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Cheese & Fruit @Shaz51 Very Nice, thanks...

This evening Census Work routine is knocking my Body about pretty badly.

Got home 6.15pm tonight, plus several other evenings.

I know that does not sound late - but my Bedtime is 8.00pm.

No energy left to Eat Dinner, Check Forum or do anything else.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

@Appleblossom

I have managed to confuse myself..

Are you still gumnut and now the piano teacher of the little girl with no name? who brings tree ats to the little girl with no name?

Or am I the little girl with no name?

 Selkie Fowld is still in the story and I can write her in to the new ..latest...version...today at least ...

@Oaktree

Megs is a mysterious visitor to the grounds of the ancient castle..she has a secret treasure trove that contains valuable ancient gold coins..

@Flax

 now Sooty who has secretly, with the help of his very clean paw, managed to sneak into the old library and hidden one of the ancient coins from the treasure trove..has other stories to come

@Oaktree

Megs if you would like to weave into the story that you dropped a coin unknown...or create your own idea how Sooty came to find the ancient coin....

Or ask Flax who is of course Sooty to write that part for you..

This is your part of the story.

@Exoplanet you are the infamous little bee weaving in and out of forest flowers....seen as being obscure and having a small part....Hmmm the quiet ones...Love the moving bee

@Adge are you still happy being the Master bat with an honours degree in horticulture having graduated? You now live between the potting shed and the summer house in a part of the garden...this can expand of course with your horticulture expertise.

@HenryX still waiting to hear from you if you are happy being the quiet Professor X who lives within the castle...this can go in any direction in story telling of course...

@Shaz51

fabulous cook ....clearly found her spot and has jumped straight into the role offering a photograph with enough food to feed all of the characters and visitors also..

Just a little tying of loose ends to help everyone who is not on here on a daily basis carry through with the new theme...also some are still unwell which can make this sort of thread hard to follow...

If everyone can let me know...

Perhaps Professor X ....once he has confirmed his role....can create a list of characters with a little bit about them.

Please keep it simple as speaking for myself and perhaps some others...my current mindset cannot cope with too much formality...Not a criticism of you in the least ...

any one who is not happy with all of the above more than welcome to respond...

in an encouraging..diplomatic style..

I am very fragile, as are several others and want to continue with respect...levity...inclusion ...creation...imagination and fun..

There is one other suggestion which might or might not help..

just putting it out there..

If we start a feedback thread for the virtual writing thread...

might help to keep everyone feeling safe...

as well as keep the creativity and fun in one place..

Lastly I think that it is time to change the title of this thread..

suggestion: Writing within a virtual world.

others welcome...

Please all take this within the context that it is intended.

I love this place here...the story telling helps me beyond words..

Sadly I have endured too much pain from darker sides of people and am vulnerable..

Others have their own pain also..

Keep the content about the storyline here..

other subjects allot a safe place for yourself to write..go to then tag those you want to write to..

I and a few others already have this in place..

Sophia

Sorry about the edit and notifications

I also wrote this separately elsewhere and hoe that it might help provide nmore clarity around what I am proposing for all to make a decision around. 💞Sorry forgot to add

It is not about who  writes what or how they write..if at all...

It is about feeling a part of the merry troupe of friends who meet here at all hours of the day within a way that a virtual world allows..

I have written a post elsewhere trying to tie the latest update of characters and small parts of a story that they might like to use or an offer to write their own.. (referring to above)

I have also come up with the suggestion of a related thread for feedback or even posts around not feeling well.

A safe haven for all..

I shall await the outcome..

one of your merry troupe friends💛💛

A real life Sooty story:

Just a quick thank you to everyone on this thread. This is quite a long post, but Sooty needed to explain a few things to his friends. It will be worth your while to read, well because its interesting and true.

Believe it or not, Sooty has been severely mentally unwell for the last few days. This thread and my little bubbling away about whatever has probably helped keep me out of hospital. Seriously, had a discussion with my shrink today, chatted about hospitalisation, but we are over the crisis.

This thread has kept my mind occupied on our fantasy place rather than personal mental health issues. Even though I may not post a lot. atm I can't read, watch tv or basically do anything, and thinking about Sooty and his adventures has kept me safe and out of the pit of despair.

So thank you for just being yourselves....and putting up with Sooty going off on tangents. Its been a way of coping with real life stuff.

Hello @Flax

I am so sorry to hear of how well you have been feeling lately.

Life can be so challenging without having to be in such a difficult state of mind at the same time..

I am choosing my words very carefully as this is a very vulnerable subject...

I am not a qualified practitioner and can only offer you my feelings of compassion and empathy for a very hard place to be..

It is reassuring for all of us to read your words that our efforts in writing played a part in helping you regain some clarity and strength resulting in no hospital stay at this time.

You have done the hard work yourself...we have given you an opening...you read and worked through the rest from there..

I do hope that you continue to feel a part of this thread which I believe is the foundation of how it works..

It is not about who  writes what or how they write..if at all...

It is about feeling a part of the merry troupe of friends who meet here at all hours of the day within a way that a virtual world allows..

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello  @Sophia1 , @Appleblossom , @Flax , @Exoplanet , and @Adge

I really appreciate the role ascribed to me as the Professor; would that I were, in real life. As I have suggested before, this fellow feels confident in certain areas where he feels comfortable, but has quite some difficulty venturing outside those areas. He has been more expressive, in this format and environment, than he has ever been in his life. That requires him to maintain some careful balancing in order to maintain his sense of equilibrium. And always with some concern, hesitation and apprehension with regard to the appropriateness of his contributions, particularly in a role with which he is quite unfamiliar. In many ways, akin to Sooty, though possibly, just expressed a little differently.

He will do his best to contribute in whatever way that he can. He has indicated before that he values, immensely, the friendship of all the companions with whom he has contact.

With Best Wishes

@HenryX

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

I kind like this more than romantic or sexualised concept of soulmates.  A long time ago I heard there were group souls .... Mebe .... a bit weird, but come on gumnuts are often in little clusters.

Love it @Appleblossom

Love it

I have never been a fan of the term soulmate..

the two words converged into one to me conflict..

understanding....covers so many different perspectives

Sophia

now "the little girl with no name"

Selkie Fowld to emerge later....when I can get my head around it..
