Tiggers { @Sophia1 }energy can lead to the occasional bump during an uncontrolled bounce, but it can also lead to some very energetic thinking. It started when they entered the large room and their voices began to echo, by the time the friendly group had finished talking to the tiny bat, Tigger remembered!
Tigger conveyed knowledge of echolocation, "We need to help Horace practice their song!" The group simultaneously furrowed their eyebrows, they thought they needed to teach Horace a very complicated scientific method of sonar, they didn't realize that's exactly what Tigger was talking about.
All of this excitement & genuine concern had had the friends forget all about the storm, until a very long, continuous line of dripping bats converged back into the room. There was a huge amount of them and they were very noisy! Owl { @Anastasia } had been scouting about and suggested the group move a little further into the cave, down a little tunnel and into a cosy crevice that, due to it's position, acted like sound-proofing - they'd be able to hear themselves think in there 🙂
Tigger was still feeling a little guilty about the beautiful cake, but even though it had ended up in pieces, the memory of how very good it tasted made Tigger lick their lips 😉 Just as Tiggers tongue reached their nose, they noticed the tiny bat! It was staring into Tiggers eyes with a real determination! "How did you know I sing to low?!" asked the tiny bat.
It was still a little difficult to hear tiny Horace, they'd gone from the babble of the huge family of bats, to the cries of Roo's { @Ripples } excitement from seeing them all! The Whoops and Woo Hoos, the laughs out loud and giggles did finally settle when Roo also noticed tiny Horace on Tiggers nose.
This time it was Eeyore { @Oaktree } who revealed their knowledge, "You mean the frequency of your song isn't high enough?" the question was asked with great care and concern. Horace took on a look of shame, "I can't even reach 30 000Hz, never loan 120 000Hz" and with that statement the tiny bats head drooped nearly to the ground.
Pooh Bear { @Lilaca } had a thought and asked tiny Horace to open their mouth wide, with the help
of the fire-flies, that Christopher { @Shaz51 } let out of the jar so that they could more accurately light up tiny Horaces mouth & throat; Pooh saw something and asked Kanga { @NatureLover } to come and see.
It didn't take Kanga long to confirm what Pooh expected, "Oh, poor little Horace, your throat is very red & swollen!". Piglet { @Emelia8 } had been though many soar throats & knew that tonsillitis could cause those symptoms, so in their own quiet, shy way, by whispering into Gumnut Babys { @Appleblossom } ear, who then whispered it into the next friends ear and so on - that
knowledge was also shared with the group.
A unanimous decision was made, a week of extra honey & warm cosy bed-rest was the
first step in helping Horace. That meant a new adventure had started as the group needed
to set-up for weeks stay at the bat colony . . .

Tigger felt reassured by Little Bee's caring words.
It does not take Tigger long at all to bounce back into life.
Tigger is a very curious Tigger who loves spontaneity.
He is very sensitive but at the same time a great thinker.
Tigger was shocked when he suddenly saw a blur of black perched on the end of his nose.
With @Exoplanet @Oaktree @Lilaca @Ripples @Appleblossom @NatureLover @Snowie @Shaz51 @Anastasia @Emelia8 all nearby and @Ripples Roo climbing up him at the same time talking to Horace, felt strongly supported by his precious friends.
Owl scouting the other bats and redirecting them further into the cave did create a magnificent sight.
On Piglet starting the whispering line, a solution was found to help Horace recover.
What the merry troupe of friends did not realise was that Horace the bat was related to the grumpy bat, their postman. Word had got back to grumpy who grumbled and moaned about the band of friends.
This would mean more post...
Hmm what could grumpy do to slow down eventually stop all of the letters being posted?............

Dear Friends,
The decision was made to stay in the cave all except for Christopher Robin who had to be home for dinner or else his Mother would freak out. Christopher Robin agreed to come back first thing tomorrow with all the necessary supplies to help Horrace. Christopher Robin ventured to the opening of the cave to find the rain easing off a little. She skipped through the forrest to her home on the outskirts of the woods. When she got there she was soaked through so her Mother put her in a nice hot shower and dry clothes. Then Christopher had a nice hot meal of rice and vegetable stew which was very welcome and warming indeed.
The next day Christopher Robin returned to her friends in the cave. She had brought with her some honey tea, a herbal remedy for tonsillitis and some honey and lemon cough drops for Horrace. Christophers' Mother had also packed a wonderful picnic for all the friends to share and enjoy. There were fruits and vegetables, crackers, spreads, dips and very best of all lemonade. The friends loved lemonade with the fizz that made their throats and noses tingle.
Owl went to find the grumpy post bat to find out why delivering the post made him so very grumpy. She was very wise so she was the perfect friend to go ask him. Maybe she could talk him around as the friends loved sending and receiving mail but they didn't want poor post bat to be grumpy at all...
All my love
Eeyore

Dear Friends,
Writing stories as a group is so much fun. I hope that more of you will join in so that we can hear both your voices and the voices of your characters. It doesn't matter if you are good or bad at writing the main thing is that you are joining in, letting go a little and having fun. I think the more we do this, along with reading other's contributions the more our writing skills will develop. What do you guys think?
All my love,
Eeyore

Dear Friends,
Owl went and found the grumpy old post bat.
"Hello post bat." said Owl
"My name is Aloysius!" post bat declared very grumpily. Nobody ever seemed to know or use his name.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Aloysius." said kind wise Owl. "Why are you so grumpy about delivering the mail to us when that is your job?" she asked.
"Because I never get any mail delivered to me!" stated Aloysius. "Nobody knows my name to address the mail to me and also there is just so much mail to deliver these days due to all you new woodland friends. There are letters criss-crossing backwards and forwards all over the darn forrest!"
Owl thought about the matter for a few moments and then put up her wing in an idea. "I have got it!" she said. "My friends and I now knowing your name could write you some letters so that now you are included and when young Horrace is back to full health we can make him an apprentice post bat which will considerably lighten your load. What do you think about that?"
"Well I don't know?" Aloysius questioned. "Maybe that could work?"
All my love,
Eeyore

love it @Oaktree
Had to smile about the slight nudge of others are welcome to join in laugh
Nature of the forums.
I am still enjoying this very much and I know @Exoplanet has made some brilliant contributions.
I love the name Aloysius. No wonder he is a grumpy bat.
How lovely of you dear Eeyore to consider the feelings of Aloysius. A gentle reminder to all of us, that even when someone is grumpy we might not realise what they are feeling underneath.
Offering support and involving him in our adventures is very supportive.
Tigger is very impressed but unable to put his feelings into words at the moment.
He is still treading on eggshells after ruining the blasted chocolate mud cake.
Now Horace has been given an apprenticeship. Woohoo.
I wonder if anyone will offer to take on the role of Aloysius and also another the role of Horace.
I am not going anywhere @Oaktree the more that I can be a child the more I want to stay.
Thank you for sharing

Dear Friends,
I am so impressed with all your creativity! I am really enjoying this feel-good thread! 🙂
Thank you @Lilaca for your good wishes. I had a couple of bad days and stayed away from the forums. Feeling better today.
Kanga took Roo and Tigger aside, and said, "Today we are having a writing lesson! We are going to write a letter to Aloysius!" Roo jumped up and down with excitement. Tigger said, "Can we invite him to play with us?" Kanga said, "Tigger, dear, Aloysius is a bat, so he comes out to play at night time." Tigger said, "We can play at night time too!" Kanga said, "Tiggers and Roos need their sleep at night time. But we can tell Aloysius that you would have liked to play with him, and that will be just as good as actually playing." Roo and Tigger bent earnestly to their letter. Kanga had to spell Aloysius' name for them, and help Roo with some of the letters, particularly 's'. After the letter was finished, she gave them each a snack of raisins. "Where will we leave the letter?" Roo asked. "We will ask Owl to deliver it, up high somewhere," said Kanga.
