Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

I'm still interested @Sophia1 Just have had no energy or focus to Post/ Write anything on Forums.

Overwhelming Glitchy Work Apps, that claim that I've not visited an address - After I've already entered info as having visited that address, etc, etc.

Plus dealing with an entire 6 week's Workload dumped on me All at once (Tuesday) - & trying to self-pace myself through it.

Trying to build up my stamina to do longer stints (more hours) - Instead of flaking out & virtually collapsing after just 2 hours (first day)....

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

oh goodness @Adge

That is very testing for anyone..

receiving information after set time..

useless apps..

I have had issues with check in government app..

tried ringing up...waste of energy and my time..

I am going back to writing on paper...

First day feeling exhausted is to be expected given all of the stress leading up to, receiving what was supposed to be based on timeframes... a big pile of @%%%***&&&???

...build your stamina gradually...government problem not yours...

be mindful of not overwhelming your physical body with too much too soon...

one day at a time my friend..remember you are not the only person dealing with this disaster..

government will need to be accountable in some way..

The heavy load is not your issue..

You pace yourself within your capabilities...work the way it was meant to happen...keep records...

You are handling this within your health capacity..

Look forward to having you back when you have the time

Here is some sunshine to carry in your heart...warm you inside and help you on your way as you deliver the wretched papers..

Speak when you can my friend

Sophia

Good morning writers

@Appleblossom @Exoplanet @HenryX @Adge

tagging those who have requested to be tagged...

respecting wishes of those having time out..

I have a doctor's appointment in a couple of hours...need to get ready for that..

also need to help husband moving garden house in preparation for new garage to  be erected...

driveway to  be levelled..

all whilst building next door is encroaching on our land with  their concrete...cast offs. shoddy job of retaining wall..owner's dad is doing some work and liaising with us ..we are supporting each other in sorting it out..

builder is same one who built our house and not reliable at all..

No time for storytelling...thinking...for me today...

Possibly tonight..

cannot think that far ahead..

depending if husband is out with sport..

depending if above work gets done..

depending on what life throws up...

A blank page waiting for anyone having inclination..desire...time to write something..

enjoy your days

Sophia 💛💚🧡

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello @Sophia1 , @Appleblossom , @Exoplanet , @Adge

The morning here was lovely, sunshine and the promise of warmth. However, it has turned cloudy and, for me, still feels cold at 17 deg C. So, I have hidden away in my little shell, untill I motivate myself to be productive.

I have been using my time to get up to date on the virus events elsewhere in australia. Though it is pleasant to be relatively isolated from virus hotspots, there really doesn't seem to be any guarantee that a flare-up will not happen anywhere, including where I am situated. We still have the QR code or "sign in" requirement and the hand sanitiser at each shop that we enter.

Otherwise, everything is relatively stable here. Just writing a note to let people here know that I am still alive and kicking. Endeavouring to work up the energy and overcome inertia toward some outside activity. I will have some lunch and see if that can put some pep in my day.

Yesterday, I did prepare and present a write-up on the thread "corona corroding relationships".

It maybe a little contentious or, at least, food for thought, given our present situation here in Australia in particular and the world in general. If you do have a look, please let me know your thoughts. I would be happy to respond to similar or other ideas.

With Best Wishes

@HenryX

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello @Adge

I just have to share this with you...

Following on from the census training...getting started...actually happening...how will it all end??......debacle...

I was on the computer...researching family genealogy leads going way way back in time...

That is another story...

Music playing loudly in the background...

I actually heard a knock on the front door...we do have a doorbell....office is next to front doors...incredible that I actually heard given loud music...

Hello said this lady with a mask....common look these days...

I had one foot in between the doors...cat ready to pounce...escape...

I hurriedly said to lady sorry...I have a cat...( seriously I surprise myself sometimes!)

As she started to talk about collecting.......? I quickly said excuse me...let me turn the music down then we can both hear... Closing the doors again..

Eventually...she stated that she had come to collect our census forms if we had not yet posted them....

I laughed.....

Responded with husband and I discussing this only the other night....we do not have a letterbox....My response to husband well they will just leave it on the front doormat as at our other place on acreage...no post delivery...

I told her well we haven't received a census yet...

As she madly tried to get one out of a sealed bag ...I asked her...

..I hope you don't mind me asking this ...have you had many issues in getting this started this year...as in holdups re training...census forms sent to those delivering...thinking of you Adge.

No she said..

I replied that I had a friend who was delivering and he had encountered many problems...

I then told her that oh he does live interstate...

I should have said in another reality...on a different plane...quickly thought that one through... as I might have been taken away...

She replied that she would return within 5 days if our copy had not yet been noted as being received in Victoria!!

I laughed and replied well unless it goes via England it will take weeks...

She smiled .....

Do you think that I might need some help ....

I love it when I am in my mad world.....

so there you are @Adge you have been categorically verbalised as an interstate friend...

Bye for now friend..

Sophia 🤣😁😆

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Thanks @Sophia1 Yes I'm an Interstate friend - Who that Census person thinks is maybe Nuts or Incompetent...

Or maybe it's just because Victoria is more efficient with these things (who knows).

Oh Wait - This entire Recruiting Campaign & Training new Staff - Was Coordinated from Canberra (ACT).

It had absolutely nothing to do with WA (or people in WA) really.

Even the individual Workloads (in Work App) - Are sent out from Canberra (onto App).

No-one Local in WA has any control over the Process (apparently).

So the Issue appears to be with/ caused by Centralised Coordination (& control) from Canberra (interstate).

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear friends

This thread is slowly dying, and it started so well months ago. It seems to have lost its original purpose - fun, fantasy, and something different from most threads on this forum. Its gotten a bit heavy lately.

Sooty had better do something just to kick it along for a few more days.

Shock, horror; Sooty is bereft of ideas. Besides his contributions are sporadic at best anyway; at worst, he derails the plot completely.

The black cat is sitting on a pebbly beach. His right paw is tapping his head...no ideas in it. Well, that's actually a fib; there are a few, but just where does he take them. Sooty is quite a pensive animal, so it takes time for ideas to germinate. He's not a particularly trusting cat, even on virtual, anonymous websites.

Tap, tap, tap....

A part from no ideas, he wonders if....no, he can't say that, or can he? ...well actually he can, because he's Sooty and very naughty.

Sooty confession - he joined SANE to link to people with MH problems, occasionally share, but find an outlet, find some support, and meet interesting people; support meaning diversion from his own problems and not too serious. He doesn't need support ticks (too similar to being 'liked' on facebook). Ugh, social media popularity is such a parasite. A Sooty rant for another day 🙂

Ok, time for a Sooty story. Totally random - I'll leave it to Selkie fowld to track who is who and doing what. A Sooty theory - maybe @Sophia1  had a great idea of a virtual fun place that is good for MH on this forum. So something lighthearted might be appropriate. Sooty only found out today, this thread's style is called 'improv creative writing'.

Tap, tap, tap...

Not much happening in Sooty's little head, then the 'aha' moment.

Of course, Sooty is a mischievous bilingual black cat, so he'll save the 'aha' for another day when he feels like sharing.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Just food for thought...

Sooty became disillusioned with this thread so decided to take a break. Posted he was taking a break, and @Oaktree wrote a lovely au revoir post and people 'supported' it.

So were people sorry to see Sooty leave or were they glad he did?  This is rhetorical, meaning "support" can be taken in two ways. Sorry to see you go, or glad that you did. This isn't fishing for positive comments/posts - I actually dont care (hence my preference for not being tagged), but it worries me when people post on SANE and either get no support or loads of support. It can be taken in two ways, either positively or negatively. An interesting debate for a later date.

On a lighter note...found this about Selkies:
