Henry's Landing Strip & Hangar

Re: Henry's Landing Strip & Hangar

Hello beautiful @Sophia1

I just want to share this with you. You may already know but just in case...

When you click on reply, if you then click on quote it will bring up the members message that you are replying to. This way there's never any confusion.

Little tip, if you do it though, make sure you tag the person...even though there are tag/s in the quote it doesn't tag the tagged, if that makes sense...

Let me show you...

I clicked on quote and the below populates then I will tag you so you receive the notification @Sophia1

Here's a picture too x

Love always Sophia 🌼💛

Hello @HenryX

Thank you for the welcome and interesting update of everyone..

This is very helpful as I feel exhausted trying to even think about reading back over all previous posts..

I am not good at responding to very busy posts..

This probably sounds odd.

I feel  safe on my living with ourselves post because that is where I  retreat to..

I also feel safe on the virtual writing thread as there I have been able to allow my mind to  roam free..

You might have noticed that my  responses in  different  areas do not land in time as they  take so long for me to  write.

Often they do not make sense..

Can confuse people

At times upset people..not my intent at all

I try also to support others who are really struggling or whom I have made a connection with and generally respond to them on the living ourselves thread again..

There are a few threads where I recognise that people are doing the same as me feeling safe in that space in that thread..

I try to support those..

I cannot say that I do that well all of the time.

I do try my hardest and work very hard at attempting  to put into words how deeply  I can feel the pain of others..

You might notice that I  retreat...am  seen about less often...write to myself..

at times my personal life requires me to have time away as well.

this I am aware of and will take time out when  all too much in my real world..

I will try to come over here when you tag me..

I just know that I will  be too overwhelmed to visit on a daily basis..

This has nothing to do with you or any other on here..

This is my looking after myself and setting personal boundaries for my own self care .

I think that the title of this thread is very inviting.

I do believe that you also have everyone's best interests at heart also..

There is also a mixture of history...life experiences....hobbies...interests and so much more..

A good vibe.

Thank you also for all of your supports in the background to my posts..

hugs my friend

Sophia 💛 sunshine to warm your heart and help heat up the huge lofty ceiling...expansive size of such a friendly, welcoming hangar..

Hello @Former-Member

And other visitors to this thread, particularly those who may wish to know how to edit their messages, following removal, by forum administration, for breach of, or non-compliance with guidelines.

If any information is included in a post, that will allow a contact to be made with anyone, either as a member of the forum, or in any other way, such as by phone number, address, etc the message is considered, by the administration, to be non-compliant with the guidelines and is likely to be put aside for editing.

The following procedure follows in each detail, the steps that I have taken in order to edit one of my own messages that was considered non-compliant with guidelines. Following these steps will enable you to edit your own message(s) in case this situation occurs to you.

The non-compliant words, numbers or sections of text, requiring removal or adjustment, will be identified, by highlighting, in the text or email that you have received from the forum administration. I have only ever used a computer for this editing procedure, so am unfamiliar with any possible variations in the steps when using a mobile phone.

To edit a post:

  1. "View your profile" - Go to your profile with the link "View your profile" near the top right of the forum page, and which is underneath the words "Guidelines & Info"

  2. "Member Profile" - On the right hand side of the "Member Profile" page, under "Settings", is a link called "ITEMS FOR EDITING".

  3. "ITEMS FOR EDITING" - Click the link "ITEMS FOR EDITING" to raise a screen called "Unmoderated Items".

  4. "Unmoderated items" - On this page, underneath the words "Unmoderated items", click the appropriate heading boxes, to ensure that the words "Items for editing" and "Forums", are both shown in white backgrounds, and the words "Items" and "Images" are both shown in light-grey backgounds.

  5. "SUBJECT" and "POSTED" - With these items selected, as in 4. above, you will have open for you, a page with headings "SUBJECT" and "POSTED" {in smallish letters} over any post(s), considered by the administration, as not meeting, or being non-compliant with the Guidelines, The column to the right of "POSTED" has the word "EDIT" against each item requiring to be edited.

  6. "Edit" - Click on the word "Edit" to the right of the post that you wish to edit.

  7. "Edit Message" - A page with the words "Edit Message" will be displayed, over your existing message, in a standard "Reply" box.

  8. Action Edit - Edit the message according to the directions given in the text message or email that you received from forum administration and

  9. "POST" - click "POST", at the bottom right of the message box.

  10. The edited message will then be posted into the thread from which it was removed for editing.

I offer these details in the hope that they will be of use to you and any other members who may need to use this editing procedure.

Re: Henry's Landing Strip & Hangar

Hello  @Emelia8

and other members and visitors to the "Hangar"

Really enjoyed and appreciated the descriptions of your own flying experiences and those of your family, @Emelia8 , and really love the flying outfit, as described!! Elsewhere I have said that my first solo flight was the most exhilarating experience that I have ever had on my own. So I can appreciate the feeling of being in a small plane, both as a passenger and as a pilot.

My own flying was cut short by the ever present need for $$$., probably with a few more zeros. However, I still enjoy planes as an interest.

Your brother's achievement in learning the "art of flying" was a considerable accomplishment. I believe that flying is indeed an art in which each of the senses have their part, even the acid like sensation on the tongue when something appears to have gone wrong. I can understand that it would have been, not only an achievement for your brother, but also a way of dealing with his personal issues. The theory for flying is very rigorous because you don't get many second chances in making decisions other than the correct ones.

The story about your husband in the jet-fighter aircraft and the expression "...you won't hear the third" brought a big smile for me.

Thank you for the vivid descriptions of the flying experiences of you and your family @Emelia8 , and for sharing them in the "Hangar"

Wishing you and other members and visitors a very pleasant and maybe even exhilarating weekend.

With Best Wishes

@HenryX

Edit: Small edit by additional words for clearer meaning and grammar.

Re: Henry's Landing Strip & Hangar

Thank you @Sophia1

Especially for your visit and also your description of where you are at and the way that you feel comfortable interacting in various threads and with others on the forum.

The "Hangar" is a place where you can sit quietly with a cuppa and simply observe, or interact with others as you wish. Please come in browse around, it is simply a place where people can enjoy each others company as close or as distant as they may wish. Sharing, if and when you may want to and quietly in accordance with how you feel at any given time. Certainly anything but pressure.

I look forward to catching up in the "Writing Letters...." thread and I follow in the "living with ourselves" thread, where there, it is I who is mostly an observer and only offer a comment when and if I feel that it is appropriate.

With My Best Wishes to You@Sophia1

Hello @HenryX

I feel you would be a great candidate for the email sent from manager's...

Re: Henry's Landing Strip & Hangar

Hello @RedHorse

and other visitors to the "Hangar"

Your reference, yesterday @RedHorse , to a horse like entry "Thought I'd trot into your hangar to say Hi 🙋" was nicely placed. Particularly now that the "Denver International Airport 😁" mascot and cousin, Blucifer, has been released from quarantine. The mascot and take-off of the plane at Denver is also in keeping with the themes of the thread.

Very pleased that you did trot over to say "Hi"

Just an easy going place where people can relax and enjoy, get together for a conversation or enjoy the various visual contributions offered by various members, such as fiery eyed horse mascots, beaches, planes and other items of interest.

With Best Wishes
