Looking through now - love it @Former-Member

Re: Dogs Rock πŸ˜†

We saw a Newfoundland whilst out walking this morning. Man, they are a BIG dog. Would hate to have to clean up after one of them.

My son's friend has a Great Dane, huge!

Re: Dogs Rock πŸ˜†

We also saw an airforce - not airport, dog in training. Not sure what they do?? And tonight, there was a guy walking a rescue puppy - a mongrel dog that he got from the pound and is trying to rehome. My dog doesn't like puppies. She's getting old and cranky around them.

Re: Dogs Rock πŸ˜†

Lol @soul not sure if Newfoundland dogs slobber but I know St Bernard's do - trouble at both ends if you ask me - they weigh more than a lot of humans and as you say - cleaning up after the output ..urrghh!

Re: Dogs Rock πŸ˜†

Not to mention how much they eat and the huge job it would be to give them a bath. My dog is medium sized - just right although sometimes I wish she was more active. I can't take her on all my walks as she is too slow. She does walk faster at night though @Former-Member

Hey @Ruthie-  check out this thread

Re: Dogs Rock πŸ˜†

I have an 18 year old bitza terrier. She is starting to show her age. I love her and try to show it by walking her as often as I can. I also have one of her offspring, who is about 12. Good for all of us.

Re: Dogs Rock πŸ˜†

Wow @Ruthie - 18years is a pretty good innings for a dog. Even 12 years isn't bad. My dog is nearly nine but she acts like she's 19 sometimes. She's a Cavoodle. I used to walk her first thing in the morning and then again in the afternoon but on these cold mornings, she likes to sleep in so I go by myself. I get to walk faster that way as she likes to sniff and potter about.

Funnily enough she picks up the pace if we do the rounds at night. So at the moment, we do a middle of the day walk and an evening one. Works for us.
