I guess like Indie Rock, pretty big well they were bigger maybe like 3-4 years ago, super emotional shit make you cry kinda indie rock
You would definitely know Let Me Down Easy from like 2016 ish or Magnolia

Noah Kahan is folky American dude, I don’t listen to a lot of him hy choice but Mrs j never turns him off, I don’t mind him though

And like the name of GOY does sound a little familiar... I used to be waaaay more into indie than I am nowadays, was all about like Vampire Weekend, Bloc Party, and The Kooks and bands like that when I was in my early 20's. Then I discovered doofing and electronic stuff and have plunged mainly into genres like psytrance and dark synthwave.

There newer stuff is a lot more…. *musically diverse* like Angel in Realtime album and I reckon best listened to as a full album to get the full vibe but their older stuff is different again

And seeing them live altered my brain chemistry for sure
