Living with Ourselves

Re: Living with Ourselves

Dear @Sophia1

I have an experiment out the back with trying to grow watermelons and pumpkins. I am growing several different varieties. If they all grow I am going to be over run by pumpkins. I love pumpkin though so it's all good. I believe that if you cure them correctly, you can store them for up to a year. I put down a bag of cow manure for each variety and put a little soil on top to plant into. Here are a few photos;

 I also have some Orange Dumpling pumpkins just germinating in the greenhouse. They are about a month behind the others. I bought the Orange Dumpling pumpkin to eat from a nice greengrocer and thought I would try and grow the seeds. It's quite similar to the Golden Nugget pumpkin.

I am also growing some mint, potatoes and a bay tree.
