No @Oaktree , no need for a resume.
What has happened in the past is that members are emailed an online form to complete. This will ask questions such as what you want to get out of being a Community Guide, what you can bring to the forums etc.
The team then collates the responses in a spreadsheet and go through a merit and equity process to pick the applications most suitable for the role.
Sometimes, members may not be 'ready' the first application, but we can then work with them to help them prepare for the next round of applications.
Whatever you are doing on the forums, just keep doing it. This can tell us you are 'ready'.
One thing to point out is that different members have different strengths. Some may be better at engaging new members, some may be to interact with existing members, some may prefer to respond only to certain MH conditions and stay away from other conditions. We take all this into consideration. Responding to difficult posts is also another one. Although we don't expect Community Guides to manage these posts, just seeing how one responds can really speak to someone's readiness.
It certainly is very exciting! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

I loved being a community guide too @Shaz51 @Oaktree , There are so many more opportunities being a community guide such as paid consultation projects, co-running Topic Tuesdays, developing and following a special events thread.
Being a community Guide gave me so much more confidence to speak to people about my MH and not be ashamed of it.

Hey @Oaktree My advice would be to just continue doing what you are doing. There is no pressure to be or do anymore than what you already authentically do. One of the greatest barriers is to try to be more than you are capable of to too many. This is not needed nor is it asked for. The best CGs are those that know their own limits and boundaries and can put them in place consistently for their own well being. So keep up what you are already doing Hon and good luck when it comes around. I think you would be a great asset to the team.
