Re: My Place

Hey @Oaktree ,

I have flagged the Community Guide intake process with the CEO, Rachel, so we will be hearing soon.

Re: My Place

Well done with everything, you have a great attitude; that counts for a lot ..😊

Re: My Place

Yay @tyme

That’s very exciting. Is there anything I need to do in order to get ready to apply? Will I need an up to date resume for instance? I haven’t actually worked since 2008.

Thanks,

Re: My Place

I emailed work, told them have hurt myself and 'in doubt' no reply . about what I would expect.

I am not doing job now.

Re: My Place

Oh that’s such a shame @TAB

Probably sensible though not to push it.

When are you going to do the big interstate move?

Re: My Place

.. all a bit scary too @Oaktree  as council rates etc will be due almost straight away, plus no furniture etc etc will get there lol

Not having to pay rent has got to help the budget .. that was the Whole Point ... lol ...

Re: My Place

Have you thought about Op Shops for furniture @TAB

They usually have some tables and lounge chairs that will start you off for a reasonable low cost. If you are close to more than one you can shop around and be a bit more selective.

You can also join you local buy nothing page on Facebook. If you don’t have Facebook I would suggest joining just for this page. On this page people give away items free or you can ask for items that you need. For example you can put up a post saying “May I please be considered for a dining table and chairs?”
Then if anyone has one that they are getting rid of they comment on your post. It’s also a great page if you are decluttering and don’t want to bin items. In fact I might go post something about this on The magic of tidying thread.

Just a couple of ways to fill your house with furniture without breaking the bank.
