Aw @Shaz51 - wow!
That's a reason and medically maybe a good one
Living through it might be different - I am sure of that
I care

Mammabear @Owlunar2 🥰
Reason is That once you go on dialysis, you are on it for life
And after a transplant you need to take strong meds so your body does not reject the transplated kidney
Living through it at the moment, yes sometimes I wonder would dialysis be better
Sun is shining here

It's a bunch of life-enduring choices eh @Shaz51 - I hear you
You can go on your current life with the unhappy poor little kidney for as long as it lasts
Or take the transplant route and need those strong drugs for the rest of your life
Or be on dialysis until something changes
What fun - I totally understand
I have chosen pain rather than have a reverse shoulder replacement - that would mean long term in rehab - not a great idea in my old age.
Crappy choices right - any way hurts or whatever
And - in Melbourne right now there is some sun - yesterday we had thunderstorms - if you don't like the weather here - just wait - soon it will be different
Yesterday morning I had 8 magpies, 2 mynas and one lark in my small courtyard having breakfast - today - only one - but they will be back - and I love these birds
I'm around now it seems - I open my computer just to look more often - I'm here for you when I can be

Yay @Shaz51
I love that sun bird - and I don't mind the mynas - they can be noisy - I would guess the breed we have here are different from those in Queensland - I love birds anyway
Except maybe starlings - they can get into a roof and build a huge nest and think they own the property - we had some in our roof when I was still married - geez - that nest was massive - we would hear the chicks each spring and did not want to move them and then forgot about them - finally we did deal with it.
It's weird that the authorities want us to live longer lives with all the glories of old age - my glass is naturally half-empty at my age and I intend to make the most of it - therefore being in an aged care facility is not on my agenda - that would be - literally - the living end.
I am going to the dentist for an impression for a new upper denture - we have a lemon tree on this property so I thought I would get some for my taxi driver - the magpies and one myna saw me and chortled for food - I enjoy it but hey - they need to know how to fend for themselves and not humans -
All the best Shaz - gotta get ready to go out - cya
