@Dimity  Yes there are grandchildren and I do love my daughter in law too.

Thank you❤️

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

It must be very painful for you @Former-Member . Hoping you can share your strength with your family. Wishing you light and peace for the way forward... but remember to put on your own oxygen mask first and look after yourself. Take care,

Love, Dimity

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

@Former-Member sorry to hear about the separation of your son & his wife. Sending you much love during this difficult time. xx

@Shaz51 hope things are improving your end my friend xx

@Judi9877 @Dimity you are both very welcome down my rabbit hole to escape the winter lockdown, it's warm and cozy and I have plenty of chocolate & coffee to keep us going. xx

@Oaktree  sending you big hugs, the walk with finding the koalas sounded lovely, xx

@rivergal glad to hear uni is going okay, hope you are doing better too my friend. xx

@HenryX hope you are doing better too my friend. When last we spoke you were organising things around the house? How is that all going? xx

I'm still battling the winter blues. I've been really lazy and done no training for a couple of weeks which has made matters worse. I'm hoping to get myself organised tomorrow and get back on the bike at least. What I wouldn't give to be a little bit manic right now so I could climb out of this rut!

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Hi @bipolarbunny

Thanks for the hugs. So sorry that you are fighting the winter blues. I have been feeling flat too and had a long nap this afternoon. Can I join you guys down the rabbit hole? The idea of hot chocolate and marshmallows sounds like a good one. I wish I could have just a tiny bit of mania also. Life is much happier on the manic side and I am able to do so much more.

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Hi @bipolarbunny

Thank you for your message. I note that you were talking about the winter blues. I got a rude shock last week. Waking, 2.38 am, I was “frozen”. The temperature was 4 deg C. Quickly, out with the electric blanket for a warm recovery.

I am progressing in the “care for me” area. Monday before last, arranged to speak with a counsellor, . Have spoken with her twice and I think that we will be able to work well together. While the 1st week was mainly intro, we have looked at a few issues. Now the “homework” for me to review some techniques for improvement. If it is considered appropriate and, or advisable, I can see a psychologist who assisted me quite a few years ago. One step at a time – but I have re-started the process.

Some other positive things have happened; a visit from a couple of people to see that I was ok – was reassuring. While I have five regular activities during each week, I realise that I am “significant-company poor”. Now its up to me to address that by joining in a few community activities, like badminton – even if I have to hop around on three legs. However, If I find I simply cannot play, the social aspect will still be good. Exercise and companionship. Just do as much as I reasonably can.

I laughed at your comment about the desire for a little bit of mania to come and add some impetus to the day's activity.

For Now

Best Wishes

HenryX

hello @frog@greenpea@Meowmy@Mazarita@eth

thank you @bipolarbunny , a bit better today but have to find that balance

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Hi @HenryX

So glad to hear the counsellor is working out, that is great news! Also glad to hear you have friends checking in on you that is lovely.

I hear you on the isolation or company poor side. I have no friends, no family who care to be in my life and other than my mother who I live with and have a strained relationship with my only source of conversation is with my psychologist or on the forums. I am waiting for lockdown to end so I can start going to the gym regularly. I've been putting it off for way to long and feel I'm ready to start mixing with people and hopefully making some social acquaintances. I usually train on my own, run alone, ride alone, but I've really hit a bout of loneliness recently so I think I just need to brave the anxiety and get out mixing with others.

I wish you well on your endeavours sounds like you are making some very positive moves for your well-being which is awesome.

And lol, yes it's a pity they can't bottle mania and we can just take a small dose when we need it. Lmao. Be well my friend xx

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Delicious @Shaz51 . Right now I'm having a warm spicy chai and a handful of almonds. The rabbit hole has consolations thanks to the good company of forumites (hello @bipolarbunny and thanks for squeezing me in).
