Re: Battles

Thanks @Ru-bee. Here is fine for now. I'm just really shaken up right now, feel like i have a big target on my head saying physically and sexually assault me 😞

Re: Battles

Of course being assaulted would leave you feeling shaken up

Are you back at home now @Dreamy? Are you still in any danger?

Re: Battles

@Ru-bee not back home. Sitting with my doctor at the moment. They've called police and there's camera footage so I'm just waiting at the moment.

Re: Battles

Okay, I'm so glad you're with your doctor @Dreamy and that there's some action being taken right away.

Here with you while you wait for the police

Re: Battles

Thanks @Ru-bee. I've chosen to call sane cos I'm really struggling. My heart rate has spiked and I'm having a panic attack. My doctor decided it was better for me to go home and wait for police here so he has organised that. I can't stop shaking.

Re: Battles

Good on you for reaching out to SANE @Dreamy How are you feeling about going home rather than waiting there?

Re: Battles

@Ru-bee I'm a wreck at the moment. I've been home for almost an hour now but I can't calm myself down.

Re: Battles

That's understandable @Dreamy you're going through something really frightening. It might not be possible to calm yourself down at the moment, but maybe we could aim to move from an 8 or 9/10 to 7/10, does that sound doable?

Re: Battles

@Ru-bee at the moment it's a 10/10. Got any ideas on how to bring it down? I can't do my colouring cos of shaking so much. I've tried to have a drink and spent a little bit of time out the back. Breathing is hard cos of my heart rate being high and that's medical so it's not as easy as calming down to bring it down. I've tried to listen to music and watch my TV show but I can't focus.

Re: Battles

Okay, maybe we can aim for 9 or 8 @Dreamy

Do you find grounding helpful at all? Trying to focus on your senses and what's around you rather than your thoughts.

Sometimes when I'm really upset it also helps me to release some of the scared or anxious energy I'm holding onto by shaking my arms out or jumping or just doing some movement that feels like I'm shaking it off.
