Re: Battles

@rav3n i think it's just one of those sounds 😂.

It was just a quick passing that I got to talk to him so he didn't exactly get to stop and chat. I have an appointment next week sometime if I can make it until then. I know my doctor is on my side and that I have the community here aswell. It's just all so very overwhelming right now and I want to get a break from these intense thoughts.

Re: Battles

@Dreamy I think I can kinda see what the crisis operator was going for - but they phrased it in a way that had the opposite result. As in what I think they meant was something like... "Can you remind yourself that what you're experiencing isn't real, and even if it FEELS scary, you are actually okay?"

but what came out was "Have you tried just getting over it? And not being effected at all by this sensory nightmare of overwhelm? Have you tried just not having a mental health issue?"

Grrrr uncool. And regardless of intention, that would have felt soooo invalidating. I'm sorry hun.

Re: Battles

@Jynx i didn't hold it against them for saying it oddly enough. Even i don't think it was meant that way. Just brain thinks too much into things and reacts in a way that really isn't necessary.

Doesn't help that I'm sensitive and vulnerable at the moment. I did something very silly and now I'm even more annoyed with myself. I'm really not feeling good, I can't keep my eyes open and I keep dozing off.

is there something nice you can do for yourself? maybe make your fav drink or roll up in your fav blanket?

i gotta hop off but i hope you rest up, take care and one more reminder - you are SO deserving and worthy of care and love!!

Re: Battles

But then you came here to chat it through rather than just churning it over in brain!! Good stuff @Dreamy we love to see it. I hope you're super gentle with yourself tonight hun, and I will catch you next time. 🫂😊

Re: Battles

@Dreamy do they? And why do they get what they want but you don't?

Rhetorical questions lol... mostly.

I'm off to webinar now hun, so won't be able to reply too much - sending many hugs and chat to you soon 💜
