Re: Battles

I know some days you really gotta go through all your tools, maybe even go through them again and again to feel any sort of relief @Dreamy those days suck and it's easy to just want to fall into a heap rather than trying the next thing, so honestly it's great that you've been trying, even if it is frustrating

@Ru-bee I'm just done right now. It's all just too much 😞

Re: Battles

I get if you're feeling done with trying right now, that's okay @Dreamy but I just want to check whether you're feeling safe right now?

Re: Battles

@Ru-bee yes I'm safe. Just incredibly overwhelmed. Sitting outside in the fresh air trying to keep myself grounded.

@Ru-bee @rav3n when you think your day can't get any worse but then something else happens 😞

Re: Battles

@rav3n it really hasn't been a good week. You can try to distract me, at the moment my thoughts are very dark and I don't like it.

Thankyou ❤️

Re: Battles

let me try flash some light onto those dark thoughts, or maybe a thin, bright laser beam at least! @Dreamy

i'd actually like your opinion on something i was thinking about recently - there's this person i know who loves singing/performing, they constantly post videos online of their singing and sometimes even performs live. but unfortunately they can't really hit the notes right and might be tone-deaf to an extent... we're not close or anything but it got me wondering - would you encourage this person to continue posting singing videos/performing... or would you be honest and let them know they're not hitting the notes?

Re: Battles

@rav3n oh that's tough. But if it was me I would ask them if they have ever thought about having some singing lessons so they can gain more experience and become even better at it especially if it's something they really enjoy doing. Another option would be to suggest songs that don't have high notes, or if they have posted ones that sounds really good (don't have high notes) to say that they should do more songs like that cos they sound really good singing that style.

Re: Battles

@Dreamy i was thinking about the subtle 'you should do lessons!' hint as well haha. have you seen those clips from x-factor/australia's got talent/australian idol where the contestant is super confident about their singing abilities - but then they end up being terrible singers but refuse to believe the judges comments? i don't want my friends to end up like that!!
