@Faith-and-Hope@Appleblossom@Anony18 and anyone else who wanted to know- discussion with daughter re. DID/"Split" movie has happened and turned out well. Have posted more details in the "Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?" thread that I started a while ago.

On top of my little piece of good news ^ I've had a reasonably productive day. Sometimes "cleaning up" ends up being "put everything on the floor into a box and sort it out later. However, when life is unpredictable, "later" is likewise a very indefinite time. So today I dragged a couple of such boxes from two weeks ago along with a couple from today outside and sorted them out. Not really ultra-sorted, but at least now they're at "rubbish-recycling-oooh, better keep that" level of "sorted". And instead of 3-4 boxfuls, I've got 2 left. Will follow that up with an easy but late dinner once our son gets home. So what should my treat drink be... maybe the rose milk I've mentioned previously.

@Faith-and-Hope, there's a few recipes online. I winged it a bit. Petals from 2-3 roses (white "heels" removed) , a bit of quince jam and sugar, a little bit of vanilla and some rosewater essence, all in a blender until smooth. Mine came out a little bit purplish compared to the pic I put up, because I used a dark red rose. Stir it as you're drinking so that the tiny bits of rose petal don't settle to the bottom, or you could strain it through a fine mesh tea strainer.
More conventional recipes use a pre-made rose petal syrup, which also turns up in an online search.
