My 51 year old daughter has had issues from her teens. She is now a single mum with three teenage girls and her behaviour has caused much trauma over the years. We have tried to convince her to get help but she continually has excuses for her erratic behaviour. As her girls are now teenagers, we have noticed some serious issues which she sweeps aside. There is a definite pattern to her behaviour and as she gets older things seem to be taking a turn for the worse.

Hey there @Sanest ,
Sorry to hear about your daughter. It sounds like there's a lot going on, but she hasn't yet seen or acknowledged it.
Has she been diagnosed with BPD?
In terms of BPD recovery, unfortunately, unless they see and are willing to make changes, there is little anyone can do. I'm speaking from experience as someone diagnosed with BPD.
Does she talk to anyone about what's going on for her?
