Rational Depression

Re: Rational Depression

"Morals are dead and social etiquette is lost". Nicely summed up, @Messylife.

Re: Rational Depression

Well, I had a brief look at the videos, @scruffypuffball. For me, I've been around for a considerably longer time than you, I would say, and to be honest, I can't take much more of these talks that often make sense yet achieve nothing in the longer term. They just keep making videos, writing books—while society produces lengthening conga lines of damaged individuals to view these videos and buy these books. (I truly wonder if there is not an element of egoism in producing these videos and writing these books). I'm thinking those who do, do; those who can't, teach). Some people are getting richer, and it's unlikely the people buying the books, in my opinion.

One comment I liked regarding that orange individual and America, was: 'Elected not in spite of his pathology but because of it. Because a pathological society REQUIRES the sickest and most destructive personalities to lead them. It's structural. It's expected'. An interesting thought.

And Elizabeth Mika stated that many thousands of people had died from drugs, alcohol and suicide because they had no access to (US) health care. People are dying within and because of the 'health care system'! She really should look more deeply into the issue. Platitudes don't address the deeper problems.

Re: Rational Depression

humans won't need to do much more to further enhance what ever dystopia we perceive our societies to be @JoleneZachari .

If things are to worsen it will be through a sequence of natural disasters. That's my belief. Cataclysmic change more than we might bargain for. And those that are left will 'wake up' and do better.
