love the photograph @Shaz51
Sometimes I wish life could be like just that, or the mad hatter's tea party.
I would still want the people who are so important to me and whom I love to the moon and back in my life.
I feel that this dream comes close on this thread.
Fun moments the other night on the Thursday/Friday thread.
I am so pleased that you had a beautiful birthday real as well as virtual, with people who truly love you so very much.
As does your Mr Shaz. I hope that he enjoyed the yummy mud cake.
What a wonderful surprise our dear sweet greenpea turning up for your party.
love Tigger

Dear @Ripples
So very sorry to hear of all that you have endured through devastating bushfires.
Your dear dad, serving his country and community in such an honourable and worthy way.
I know that you will remember to be proud and honour him.
Now your mum with health struggles.
Heartbreaking times dealing with grief around loss.
Loss is of course not just limited to those who have left this world.
I know only too well about loss of family members in different ways that have caused me much grief also. This aside from missing my late dad who was the only person in my birth family who I felt loved me for me.
Words are never enough.
Knowing that others realise the impact of grief and are here on the forums to listen to you, I am hoping will give you some reprieve.
I am thankful that you have found us over here.
Storytelling can take us to other places within our minds that allow us some relief from our pain. We are not disrespecting our loved ones. We are respecting ourselves.
Making pamper packages is a beautiful way also of paying the love and respect forward.
Be however you want to be on here.
Keep on writing about your feelings if that is what helps you most.
You are still writing a letter; a letter to us but best of all to yourself.
Stay with us, Roo, you are a part of our community now.
We all want you to be with us in whatever way is best for you.
Tigger
(Sophia)

Dear @Ripples
There are no words to express how sorry I am to hear about your parents. That must be so hard. Your Dad sounds like he was a great man that was committed to helping his community, I am sorry he paid the ultimate price for that commitment. Sorry also to hear about your Mum.
Good for you doing a service project to give back to your community too. I hope that that makes you feel as though you are doing some good where it counts. I hope it makes a difference to those lucky enough to receive one of your packages. It's lovely of you to want to fill your Mum's space with beautiful paintings. Something to work towards to be sure. Look after yourself dear Ripples. We are always here if you need some support or a shoulder to cry on.
All my love,
Meggle

Pooh Bear & friends made their way back into the forest clearing, after having a bit of a
nap. As they reached the edge of the clearing the table butterflies all leapt into the air & then
went into a free-fall, looking like the most beautiful confetti the forest had ever seen 🙂
Then the fire-flies bombarded the center of the confetti, lighting up & pushing outward in
every direction; this gave the effect of the most spectacular fireworks ever witnessed in the
forest! Each of the Butter & Fire flies took a crumb with them as they left, a promised
little treat for their help & a helping hand cleaning up. With just as many smiles & giggles
as there was setting up, the party area was soon back to a natural forest clearing & the
friends started chatting about the cave.
"What's in it?" asked Eeyore { @Oaktree } "We don't know" answered Pooh Bear { @Lilaca }
"that's what makes it an adventure!". "How many bounces away is it" asked Tigger { @Sophia1 }
"Twice as many for you as there will be for me" answered Kanga { @NatureLover } with a
giggle. "I'm riding with you . . . & Piglet { @Emelia8 }, Gumnut { @Appleblossom } & Little
Bee too!" cried Roo { @Ripples } "I'll pack some cake & make sure we have plenty of water"
declared Christopher Robin { @Shaz51 }. Owl { @Anastasia } wisely told the group "I'll fly in front &
make sure everything's safe & your not going the wrong way". Suddenly the group heard
a rapid tapping on the ground, they looked around & saw White Rabbits { @Snowie } back
foot moving up & down in a blur, the beautiful bunny simply asked "What are we waiting
for?" . . .

So White Rabbit asked the question "What are we waiting for?" He clearly was impatiently watching thinking that time was moving on.
Once they got to the cave there might not be much light as they have not been inside before.
They took off moving at different paces.
Christopher Robin was carrying a large chocolate mud cake ever so carefully. He had passed out botttles of water to everyone before they started walking.
Eeyore was excited and chatted away the whole time.
Kanga leaping ahead balancing Roo, Piglet, Gumnut baby and Little Bee.
Owl was busy flying ahead as promised, keeping her eyes on the path ahead.
Tigger, as usual, was bouncing, zigzagging from side to side.
Suddenly there was a mighty thump. Tigger had bounced straight into Christopher Robin.
They all stood still, watching the cake flying through the air.
Alas the cake hit a trunk of a tree and fell to the ground below.
A squirrel appeared from nowhere, helping itself to bits of cake.
Birds landed and ate the crumbs.
White Rabbit was furious and threw himself onto the ground to rescue what was left of the cake.
Noone cared that the cake was picked up from the ground.
The rest of them helped White Rabbit to carry the remaining pieces.
Luckily they soon reached the cave.
Christopher Robin laid out a lovely, large blanket.
They all plonked themselves down.
Eeyore passed the cake pieces around.
Tigger was very upset with himself for causing such chaos. He felt that he had ruined the day for everyone.
He stood back and stayed in a corner where he felt that nobody could see him.
He was unaware that Kanga was keeping an eye on him allowing him some time to settle.
Eventually Piglet wandered over to him holding out a piece of cake.
A tear ran down Tigger's face as he saw the outstretched hand. He did not feel that he deserved to share what was left of the beautiful cake. Gumnut Baby was now standing with them and taking the piece of cake put it up to Tigger's mouth at the same time holding onto his paw gently.
Slowly others noticing the kind gesture from Piglet and Gumnut baby, joined them.
One by one they gave their friend Tigger a hug to let him know that he mattered to them and they were not upset with him.
A loud bang was heard from outside the cave. Owl flew close to the entrance of the cave just in time to see a flash of lightening spread across the sky.
Thunder sounded in the distance and then they heard the heavy rain hitting the ground.
They were stranded and frightened. They all huddled closely together. When would they be able to leave the cave?

Dear Friends.
and so the story continues...
After the friends had reassured Tigger that accidents do indeed happen and that he needn’t worry they all looked outside the cave. The rain was indeed coming down in droves. With that they decided to thoroughly investigate the interior of the cave. Luckily Christopher Robin had a jar filled with fireflies which cast just enough light so that they could see a little way in front of them. The fireflies were friends of the merry little group and had agreed to be placed in the jar temporarily. Christopher Robin was very brave and managed to settle the nerves of the group so that they weren’t so frightened. Now a great new adventure was beginning.
The friends cautiously at first and then with a little more abandon made their way further into the cave. Roo was hoping that they would find a family of bats in the back of the cave as bats were quite Roos’ favourite creature to watch fly overhead. Kanga was trying to keep Roo from being too over-enthusiastic about the possibility of this as she knew that sometimes caves were bereft of bats.
Owl was still at the front leading the group into the unknown as owls have great night vision, the darkness of the cave did not make her fearful. Christopher Robin marched along next with his jar, followed by the rest of the merry troupe. As they went deeper into the cave it grew noticeably colder, damper and darker.
Soon the walls of the cave which had been close and confining opened up into a great expansive room. They could tell they were in a room even though they could not see well as the sounds of their voices suddenly were echoing. Then there was sudden movement overhead and thousands of tiny black bats were flying over them and out of the chamber. The excitable Roo was disappointed to see all the bats flying away. Just then Owl noticed something in the darkness. One lone bat was still clinging to the roof of the cave.
The friends drew closer and noticed that the bat was shivering in fright.
“What’s wrong?” asked Roo.
“I will find out.” answered Little Bee.
With that Little Bee buzzed and flew up to reach the bat.
“What’s wrong Bat?” asked Little Bee.
“You can call me Horrace.” the bat replied. “I am frightened of the dark and all my friends have left me here all alone.” Horrace explained.
The woodland friends were very concerned for Horrace but thought the problem must have something to do with him not using his sonar very well so they thought that the answer was just to teach him how to do that. A job easier said than done....
All my love,
Eeyore
