Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello @Exoplanet @HenryX @Adge @Flax @Appleblossom

....Selkie Fowlk heard a mighty crash.....splash.....feeling a shower of water emptied on top of her ...

How did that happen?

I am not in the sea...I am basking on a rock....

was it the moving of the land where large cracks appear....?

(earthquake not sure how to write that in selkie fowlk...taking into account also that selkie fowlk do not think necessarily in english or attach english words to noises...sounds...sensations...thought I would throw that in to see if you are paying attention.....)

She looked around gingerly ...dreading what might be behind her when she heard more splashing from the ocean below the rock where she was basking...

A wet, black creature was treading?? pawing??? water....very very very fast....

Oh dear she thought...why do these animals go near water if they cannot just float???

Splash and she was in....

She was met by the most beautiful,,very dark eyes....(spanish eyes are smiling....no she is not in Spain)

She is in the Orkney Islands.....apparently so...scroll back several pages....it can be quite hard to keep up...

She observed the creature closely...tuning into her natural instinct senses....yes she felt that this one was only wanting to desperately get back onto land..

she nudged closer and with her nose under the chin of the creature with the most beautiful....very dark eyes...ever so gently pushed him back to the shoreline....

he collapsed on the sand in the shallows....breathing heavily....frightened...

she lay down beside him trying to transfer some of her wet selkie fowlk body heat...then lifted her webbed paw stretching across his body drawing him closer to her...

He did not struggle....his breathing gradually became less alarming as they lay side by side....one a selkie fowlk from the orkney islands..the other a very wet. black kelpie all the way from Australia...

How on earth did this happen?...

This is not the Selkie fowlk talking now....

This is the Voice that appears every now and again in the virtual writings attempting to explain the very confusing writings...

The Gumnut Bub that rode within the WWW an odd looking pudding with long straggly legs....was in Australia also...

where was Little Bee?...Little Bee had offered the clover flower to Selkie Fowlk....Had she flown across the hemispheres?...

Or is there a secret tunnel.....beneath the hemispheres or high above...where only the most imaginative can find their way and travel through time......?

Selkie Fowlk had now started to snooze....an  odd snoring noise was emerging from the cute little nose....

The Black Kelpie had been awakened by the odd snoring noise and stretched his limbs...

Now what do wet animals do when they awaken and emerge from water????

They shake their bodies from top to bottom totally oblivious of whoever might be close by snoozing..

Selkie Fowlk awoke with alarming now where was this spray of water coming from.....what on earth is happening on this once serene coastline?

She sighed and wobbled down to the water edge where the tide was coming in and there were no sandbanks...

She quietly slipped into the water...submerging as she paddled out deeper into the ocean...as the sun was about to go down..

Meanwhile Kelpie....feeling better...rested...tired....was now looking for his new found friend to play with...He had his energy and his mojo back...

Where the heck had she got to now....?

More importantly how the heck did he get to where he was now?

........................................

Hello @HenryX  @Exoplanet @Appleblossom @Adge @Flax

It makes sense to me that there were more sculptures around sea settlements..

Myths were more freely related as people sat around fires and spun their tales...

Now modern "progress" has produced televisions bigger than windows...game machines ....games on the computer...

cds and dvds are old hat...download or upload or whatever....you tube it....

social platforms...

titter

twatter

facebook

face on face off

instagramme

text messages do they still happen with the young.

selfies....not selkies...selfies...

all attempting to look the same ....

botox, lift this. remove this..add this..

who looks their age in the film and musical industry any more.

I did see a photograph of Robert Plant who does look his age and I thought to myself...well done...Still unique in who you are as you were so unique with your style of voice and wow what a band...Led Zeppelin

Storytelling about myths..I want to go and live on Orkney Islands I think...Mind you I want to take my garden and my beautiful cat and my husband...a few friends...

I would like a houseboat or a riverboat from the  canals....

I want campfires ...singing...musical instruments from all ages..

dancing....

Perhaps I can find my own island...

I will become an island sitter.....no can't do that with covid...

an island squatter....

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hey peeps

Taking a break from the forums. Please don't tag me into anything any longer.

Not leaving, just a break and will contribute or not, if I feel I have something useful to share down the track.

At the moment, disillusioned...google "Water Kelpie Scotland" - Sooty and Kelpies can't exist in the same space.

Will leave you with a parting gift. Found a home for Selkie Fowld's enchanted world:

Loch Shiel and Mona.jpg

A nice lake for Selkie Fowld, a castle for professors, and lots of woodland.

Islands are good. You got it right. This Gumnut Bub is staying put in the grate island of Strailya!

Love little Mermaids.  Surely some of made it to the Southern Hemisphere.  We are such good swimmers here in The Antipodes.

Hello @Exoplanet

I have just read post written by Flax..

At the moment, disillusioned...google "Water Kelpie Scotland" - Sooty and Kelpies can't exist in the same space.

Apologies Exoplanet..  I do remember thinking about the black stallion and concluding with it possibly being a demonstration of strength that kelpies have...

By the way forgot to mention ...You brought a smile to my face when I read not the red brown dog....

hopefully I got this part right....the story of the  red brown dog?...if is one and the same....a beautiful story outlining such love and loyalty dogs along with other animals have...

I do not google things very often Flax...I will not tag you as requested...hence I did not make the connection....

Sorry to hear that you are feeling disillusioned...not sure if that is around my confusion of the story of the watery kelpie which have since looked up....or something else going on in your real life...

Hope that you feel  better soon..

If anything I now know about the watery kelpies..

a water kelpie a shape-shifting spirit inhabiting lakes in Scottish folklore.jpgblack kelpie.jpg

A kelpie, or water kelpie, is a shape-shifting spirit inhabiting lakes in Scottish folklore. It is a Celtic legend; however, analogues exist in other cultures. It is usually described as a black horse-like creature, able to adopt human form.
