Re: Good Morning!

@MDT Oh trust me I feel that way too sometimes, as I navigate uni with a mental illness. Can be very tricky to find support - so I hear you there!

Re: Good Morning!

yeah i remember doing that too @Former-Member
It could be tough as from time to time it required medical evidence etc to get extension and what not
Fortunately, they were quite a good service where I went to Uni. Once I got accepted as having disability support. I guess I was in the middle ground in that regard. Sometimes I didn't even need the help though. In the end it was helpful to have though I must say.

Re: Good Morning!

@MDT  I am with disability services as well and that helps. But there is a load of admin to do at uni and I find that really tough to do - especially when my condition is aggravated. I also have to send lots of emails for support and I find that tedious because I fret over the wording and stuff like that.

But you're right - the support that exists is helpful 🙂 and I also really enjoy the subjects in my course so that helps to keep in top of it all.

Re: Good Morning!

its about balance isn't it? @Former-Member
what do you study?

Re: Good Morning!

@MDT  Yup - definitely about balance. I recently decided to go to part time and I'm really so happy with that decision.

I study an allied health degree 🙂 I took two years off before going to uni - and I'm glad I did because I'm happy with where I'm at and what I'm studying.

Re: Good Morning!

thats good @Former-Member
yeah I did balance between part time and full time
I also found that going straight to uni after school was a mistake - i ended up taking the second half of that year off and didn't do much at all - just to clear my head. It's been a while since then in fact. 10 years next year lol
