Re: Cuddles and Hugs!

Hello dear butterfly @Zoe7

Your telling of how you laid your beautiful loving family to rest is so poignant and at the same time serene.

How comforting for you to have your family there as they would know how much Cat means to you and always will.

I have tears for you Zoe and for Cat as the scene you described is so similar to when we laid my soul fur cat to rest.

Also next to a tree in the corner of what is now a garden. He too was wrapped in his blanket and held in my arms for a very long time. He now has been joined by his sister. I was out there today planting more native fuschias; thinking of your Cat and yourself. I visit mine every time I go out into the garden and talk to them. Our remaining cat also comes to that part of the garden at times. He is only allowed outside with us, watching him. He still is lost without her. Both of them were totally confused without soul cat who was boss.

Surreal yes as time goes on the reality side will change. It will never be the same as before.

You will have Cat with you though, this I promise you. Always there whenever you need to talk to him and reassure him as you always have. You will know what to do. Your love for each other will always guide you.

I do not know about Clover so look forward to hearing more about your other family member.

Cuddles together and hugs and cuddles from all of us. @Oaktree is such a loving person.

School holidays, yes I agree a time for all of you to adjust.

Enough I have rambled too much

Hugging you along with your forum family. Bless you dear @Zoe7 ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

Re: Cuddles and Hugs!

@Bow we have spoken in the past at random times mainly with @TAB on a thread.

Re: Cuddles and Hugs!

Thank you so much @Oaktree @Anastasia @Sophia1 I keep looking for her Smiley Sad I know that will ease in time but right now I just miss her. Tobes has been looking for her also and is a little solemn today. He was watching over us bury her today and I hope in his own way he knew that was goodbye as well. He really is a sensitive little soul (much like his Mum) so I have no doubt he will miss her as well. They have been together for the last seven and a half years - found their way around each other when needed and co-existed in other times - but when it came down to it Toby would protect her always. Many times he has jumped in between Cat and any other cat that has entered our yard so whilst they had a love-hate relationship he was always there by her side when needed.

@Sophia1 Clover is the new addition to our family. She is an Exotic cat with the cutest little squishy face. Her and Tobes are best friends and are just adorable chasing and playing with each other. Cat of course did not like her to begin with but she did get used to her. The funny thing is - getting Clover actually gave me more time with Cat as I could cuddle and pat her without Tobes getting jealous ...as he would be off playing with Clover. She just turned 6 months old a few days ago (we have had her for 3 months now). As you could imagine I am totally in love with her too (and she is a real snuggler). She wasn't to begin with but over time she has become very close to both Tobes and I. They both sleep together on the couch or bed and she follows Tobes outside when he goes out. She also follows us both wherever we go - I swear she thinks she is a dog too lol

I have closed the door to Cat's room and it will remain like that for the foreseeable future. I still have to empty her littler tray (can't bring myself to do that presently) and will put away her blanket off her chair and bowl when the time is right. I had just bought a lot of her food for her so that I will most likely donate to the local cat centre - again - cannot bring myself to do any of that yet. It is a bit like whilst everything is still where it should be that she is just outside sleeping (as she loved doing) so I will continue to hold onto that for the time being. I laid her to rest facing us so she could always watch over us Heart ...small comfort but important to me.

Like you dear Sophia that part of the garden will be so special. I have been putting off doing anything in that corner for a couple of years but now I have a purpose and a will to make it so special for my little girl - and of course I will visit it often - feeling her love and knowing she is now at peace Heart

@Bow Those squishy hugs right back to you Heart
