Craft Corner

Re: Craft Corner

@CheerBear, they can be tricky to make, but once you get the hang of it it's quite easy. I use a basic alternating pattern. The trick is to tie together the correct strings in the pattern otherwise it can get confusing. I've had to undo several ones and start again becasue I've ended up tieing the wrong bits of string together.

Re: Craft Corner

Yes i did and today i bought amazing yarn to crochet dad a knee rug. Back home i was on a craft group that does everything imcluding quilting - they call themselves "CRAFTY QUILTERS" - pretty clever 🙂

Re: Craft Corner

Thank you @CheerBear. It did take awhile - approx 6 months - but it was sheer pleasure wanting for it to come to life as I stitched. So lovvvve this type of embroidery artwork. I am lucky to have such a professional framer near by that not only does an excellent job framing but at such reasonable prices. I am working on a few other projects presently that I will post when completed.

Thank you for starting this thread - you certainly have lived up to your username as it has given so many much cheer. Hope you are doing okay now. Thinking of you 💛

Re: Craft Corner

So lovely to see the Craft Corner be so active with new crafts and new people! Gosh that's lovely to see!

I'm stopping by quickly because I promised @outlander I would show her something else I'd done with crochet.

coathangers.JPGHere are some of the hundreds of coathangers I have covered with crochet, most of these are done in Tunisian Crochet, but both the two toned pink and black, and pink and white are the 'normal' crochet. I tied scraps together, rolled into a ball until large enough to do something with, then covered some hangers, the first one with the scraggly bits hanging off it is one done like that. It's got the tied end bits as a feature instead of having threaded them through to hide them.

Just to let people know, I'm taking a step back from the forum, but please do tag me to posts here as I'll get an email and Crafty things are a help to me finding my equilibrium.
