Too kind @rav3n I finished restoring this old filing cabinet today at lunchtime. It’s a gift for the Horse Trainer. He is scarce on storage.
I like that you can’t see the wheels 😊

@Oaktree what I make or restore is subject to the resources I have at hand. I take months to look at timber and see how the timber responds to water and heat.
Sometimes it is so dry that you can’t work with it.
Do you really want to be so drenched in sweat 😰 that you look like you have stepped fully clothed out of a shower?
Then there are the flies 🪰 in your ear 👂 up your nose 👃🏼 and in your mouth when you inhale and straight down the back of your throat.
Splinters, cuts and bruises constantly.
I accidentally branded my leg with a drill bit 😆 It’s almost better now.

I have a big plastic tub (that I'm considering painting) full of knick knacks, toys, stationery, books, things I've picked up cheap.
There are around 30 tags on the play equipment and the kids bring them in to pick something from the treasure chest.
I have a lot of fun filling it

Hey @Oaktree I'm sorry I'm not hanging out at Tafe this year.
Wow on the filing cabinet. Who wants to be your best friend too @Oaktree yes. I want to be too so can pet horses too. And pick up and hold your big heart.
Just to let you know @Glisten my self care on my ex husband means iv blocked him. My passion project is this though.
I wrote a letter to newspapers but wasn't published.
My friend diagnosed with schizophrenia is being let down
Sir, Ma'am,
My 57-year-old friend, who has schizophrenia, is facing a critical gap in care. I'm his unpaid carer and deeply concerned. His psychiatrist at the public hospital has left, leaving a three-week wait for a new one.
Three weeks without a psychiatrist is dangerous for someone with schizophrenia. He was recently in the hospital's locked ward, showing how much support he needs. His NDIS support coordinator works tirelessly for him, but even their dedication can't replace a psychiatrist. My husband visits him regularly, which helps, but it's not professional psychiatric care. I also need time for self-care to avoid burnout.
I urge our local health authority to address this gap. We need more mental health funding so vulnerable people like my friend get the continuous care they deserve. Our community's mental health needs looking at immediately.
Sincerely,

Your letter is BRILLIANT @PeppyPatti
It is clear, concise and to the point ❣️
I am so proud to call you my friend!
@Oaktree I think we all have our own way of showing people that we care about them.
I build and restore things.

Yes you do @Glisten You are a good person - in my eyes........
you came here a bit broken and homeless, yet you never projected your negative feelings about what was happening onto your loved ones.
I really enjoy reading about your family.
You're very self-aware. You lift people up online. I admire that, and I try to learn from you.
I see how nature sustains you..
