Re: My Place

.. gots to be gray , or dift method of cooking @Appleblossom lol we had one sheep a fortnight so was one meal pretty much , had them crumbed, think was fiddly with cleaning, flouring, then crumbs , remember being told kidneys was a process or gross , as in cleaning etc, still dont mind a steak and kidney pie yum lol

guess part of reason food got better was because mum was chasing after young kids . had more time when most in teens

Re: My Place

@Appleblossom

I don’t work but I think I would like to venture into peer support work. I am hoping to apply for Community guide here on Sane when it comes up.

I wish I had decent soil here but basically it’s just dead yellow sand. You can’t really grow anything in it. I love the sound of your garden. Yes connections and sentimentality are everything.

I get a lot of satisfaction from watching seeds grow. They start out so tiny and before too long you have a thriving plant. I like to grow organically.

I just went through my seeds and I have quite a few things that I can grow in my pots. Shallots, basil, thyme, parsley (both kinds), lettuce and spinach. I also have some marigolds and asters.

Re: My Place

@TAB Yep funny how chasing little kids can interfere with gastronomy .... there are so many little timing issues with food ... and most of us get better at the cooking ... with a bit a practise ...

@Oaktree I have really enjoyed your company these last few days. Its meant a lot to me. Meeting a new friend.

Re sandy soil ... add worms, vegetative matter, and cow manure maybe ... lol ... I did a unit once called soil science. I have opposite problem ... clay ... add gypsum ... and keep adding vegetative matter ...  I am patient ... it all takes time ... I do need to get off computer tho ... and do a little music ... am playing BeeGees ... Stayin' Alive atm.  Hoping it will give me a bit of attitude ... plu Bach and Beethoven ... 3 Bs.

Re: My Place

Likewise @Appleblossom

I really enjoy your company.

Thank you for boosting my confidence.

Absolutely understand about the need to get off the computer and do something else.

Have a great night.

We still have to have our chat about university at some stage.

Re: My Place

@Oaktree  have you talked to mo ds re peer support? therewere some people who were here as consumers/users/clients whatever, then went over to working for SAne. young Hams is doing something to do with a call centre I think ? not really sure about that @MDT  anyway work can have its uses ..

Re: My Place

Hey @TAB

Take care trying to work hey? I understand the want for the cash but you need to look after yourself as well.

I live in the northern suburbs of Perth. Pretty much woop woop here.

@tyme did respond to my enquiry about becoming a consumer guide and said I could be in the running. That would be amazing! I hope it comes off. I wouldn’t mind working behind the scenes for sane one day as peer support. Wonder if I could do it remotely from Perth.
