I am actually feeling really good today, the last couple of days have been good and positive. I took my dad to an Australia Day Awards ceremony last night so he could see my niece get her Certificate of Achievement as part of the local council awards. To say he was happy would be an understatement, and after the last couple of months that was something to make us all smile.
Today I am going to be taking a little road trip with my dad to a place he has visited many times... and I will be stopping at a few places he enjoyed going to with my late mother so that he can enjoy himself as well. I may have to focus on his music and forgo my eclectic tastes (thankfully some of his stuff is what I also listen to!)
I haven't felt this good or positive in years to be honest and I know that there are a lot of people to thank for that. Many are here in the forum and some are not, and those people truly are amazing friends (just like everyone here)

@Arbie_wun it's great to hear that you are feeling good. You deserve to be happy and it sounds like things are going well with your dad and spending time together, making memories is special. Congratulations to your niece on getting an award, that's amazing 😊.
I hope you enjoy your trip together today, it sounds like a great day out for you both.
Keep up the amazing work, you deserve all the happiness in the world ❤️

I'm also happy to hear that for you. I think reflecting and appreciating when times are good is soo important, since we can get stuck just focusing on the negative all the time. Hopefully the good days continue @Arbie_wun

@Marzey I have had a lovely day, took my dad on a bit of a road trip to get him out of the house for a while. Went for a drive to Balranald and checked out the renovated Diner at the BP Roadhouse and have to say it was a massive letdown. Aspects of it were well done but unfortunately other aspects were trashy and poorly thought out.
The amenities are ok but the access and everything looks like it's been completely forgotten, the driveway and access were not even pleasant to look at. A lot of families probably wouldn't even stop there!

@PengTing I know exactly what you mean, and I have had days were the negative controlled my thoughts but thankfully the last couple days have been more and more positive. I am feeling much better about so many things and I know that I am on the right path!
