Re: A long rave

It's a bit scary looking @eth and @greenpea! Its lovely that the maggies are friendly eth, though it kind of looks like the other bird is about to make breakfast of more than just the insect in the magpies beak!

Re: A long rave

LOL @greenpea @CheerBear  that's a young one too!  They are large and have a really unusual call :

Re: A long rave

"Horrible bludgers of birds" and "parasitical", "ignorant" and "real buggers of nature" 😂🤣😂

@eth you've given me a great giggle this morning!

Hope you enjoy your morning ❤

Re: A long rave

@eth Hahaha! I have always wondered what that bird was and now I know. We have them here too. 🙂

Re: A long rave

Hi @Mazarita spotted you there.  Hope your day is a good one.  Will be here for a while if you feel like a chat xx

Re: A long rave

Hi @eth, back again, if you are still around.

Re: A long rave

I'm back now too @Mazarita.  How are you going today?

Re: A long rave

Pretty tired today, @eth, as I have been a fair bit lately. Will probably go back to bed for another chunk of sleep. Really not getting enough over recent weeks. Aside from that, okay. How are you? How was the farmer's market?

Re: A long rave

Hey @Mazarita  I'm with you on not sleeping enough at night lately.  Went back to bed for 2 1/2 hours after getting back this morning.  Had been up since 5.30 and only had 1 hr blocks overnight.

The market was good, not too busy that early but getting crowded by the time we left (still before 9).  I had hoped to find some hand made cards but there weren't any.  Other than that I just got a bit of fruit and corn and helped sil's mum carry her stuff.  I haven't planned the meals for the next 2 weeks yet so didn't want to get much.  I'll shop on Wednesday probably with my support worker.

This week sil and bro both have their birthdays so I'm taking them out to a ramen bar on Wed night and they are 'dating' on Tuesday.  So that's one less group meal to cook this fortnight.  Already making a list for my last shop closer to Christmas too.

Sorry - mundane rave .... might end up napping again myself this afternoon too.

How are your video projects coming along?  Did you finish the judging job?

Re: A long rave

One hour blocks are pretty awful, @eth. Any reason why the sleep chunks were a bit less than usual? Good to hear the market was quiet enough this morning, lovely that you can help M. I'm guessing the two of you might be getting closer with the activities you've shared, including the trip to see adult child and family? Pity no hand made cards. Cards to some people are the only remaining part of my xmas stuff (aside from xmas day with close friend and phone calls with mum and maybe some others). I hope I get to doing them. I'm often pretty slack with cards really. I've only bought presents for four people: C, Mum, close friend up here and close old friend down south. Three out of four of them, I bought for online. The other one, for C, I found randomly and easily when at the mall last week to collect mail. Glad the gifts are out of the way. Cool that you have one less meal for the next two weeks. I'm guessing there's generally more cooking around xmas for you.

Video projects are good, though I'm having fairly scrappy attention on them at the moment, mainly to do with it being Silly Season, I think. Nothing really goes to plan at this time of year for me, my brain seems to go mushy and I just let things go. The judging is the main thing I have to do over the next 10 days. I've already watched 88 of the videos, with 26 to go. After that rewatching a 'long list' of favourites, then again rewatching my shortlist. Then may write up something about the winning entries for publication with the results. It's been great doing this, inspiring how many good videos I've seen.

I'm going to head offline to sleep now. Not a long catchup, but glad we've had it. Hope the rest of the day is really enjoyable and look forward to receiving any reply to this message from you when I wake. Heart
