Re: Battles

@MJG017 maybe he's the reason the term 'scaredy cat' exists 😂.

@Dreamy

If you looked it up, there'd be a picture of Ryker peering out from under the bed! 😂

Did you do your Lego?

Re: Battles

@MJG017 one of my dogs used to hide under my bed whenever someone would come but that's cos she was caught right in the middle when I left one of my abusive relationships.

Nope I still haven't built it.

Re: Battles

@Dreamy ketchup as medicine!? i had to search that up to see what they used it for... did not expect it to be used to treat indigestion!

@MJG017 that's so interesting, a herb tree that grows berries.

here are a few more:

  • a shrimp's heart is located in its HEAD.
  • cats have 32 muscles in their ears
  • an ostrich's eyes is bigger than its brain.
  • people used to say "prunes" instead of "cheese" when taking photos in the 1800s

Re: Battles

@rav3n some very interesting facts there.

Venus is the only planet to spin clockwise.

It would take 19 minutes to fall to the center of the Earth.

A fear of long words is called Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

Re: Battles

@rav3n @Dreamy

I remember a weird fact about the saying cheese thing.  It was prunes initially because for photos back then it was customary to look neutral when posing for a more neutral look.  Plus you did have to sit still for a lot longer back then.  Then when photography became more accessible the smiling became more acceptable and prunes was changed to 'cheese and crackers' and then shortened to cheese.

@MJG017 yes I've actually heard about this one. How things have changed over the years never ceases to amaze me.

Re: Battles

omg the fear of long words one! that's almost cruel that the phobia's such a long word 😆 @Dreamy

@MJG017 that actually reminded me of something else - i watched a video last year about a model saying that she says "prune" when taking headshots for modelling agencies and now it makes sense why!!

Re: Battles

me too haha @Dreamy apparently they made it long to encourage those who have the phobia to practice overcoming that fear every time they say it!

also just found out that the blob of toothpaste you put on a tooth brush is called a 'nurdle'... was not expecting that lol
