Welcome and getting started

Introduction

Re: Introduction

Well @tonys

I never gave you an update on my little veggie patch. I need to buy 28 bags of potting mix/ mushroom compost (will get a mix of these) to fill the large metal vegetable garden bed that we put together. At the moment it’s sitting in the living room so as not to get blown away.
My seeds have not germinated yet but I am watering them every morning. The weather hasn’t been very sunny here the last few days so it will take the seeds longer to germinate probably. I hope that they start growing soon! Feeling hopeful…

Re: Introduction

Hello Town folk

@Oaktree @tonys @LeChuck

Yes I too needed time to recharge batteries, reground myself and whatever else the current phrase is.

Hard to catch up.

Hard to work out at times current theme.

This works well if you visit regularly.

I find that when I have responded they are so far and few between they are missed.

The story swings back and forth to new themes, people's current life.

As I use a computer desktop and do not access that daily I do not receive notifications the same as if you use a phone and can reply then.

Plus like all of us here, I too have times where I need to have space and deal with life challenges, support others and all that comes with that

So I do wonder whether or not this will work for me and just as importantly all of you.

It was lovely to be included and I appreciated your including Big Chief and Little Foot Meggle. You did some homework laugh. That was welcoming. Thank you.

Thank all of you for acknowledging me despite my absence.

Thank you Tonys for such poetic prose. Very warming.

Many many pages ago there was mention of number 8

Well surprise.

It is also my lucky number.

Rename Toon Town.

My suggestion if not already decided.

No. 8

or how about

Grey Rock ....Has several meanings and might help with the protecting the boundaries of the town so to speak.

Or if my not being on here frequently is unsettling which it might be, I will withdraw and retract my town naming.

I am not sulking or feeling self pity by the way.

I am a realist.

I leave it in the hands of the regulars.

The lioness can still roam the boundaries and overlook the town's ups and downs from high up on the mountain ranges.

Re: Introduction

Hi @Sophia1

How lovely of you to drop by the town. Maybe we should name the Saloon - Lucky 8!

Yes sorry this thread can be slightly confusing, I weave my real life amongst the narrative. It’s hard to seperate.
I love Big Chief and Little Foot. I hope you don’t mind me making him a boy.
Did you see that we are looking at getting a herd of cattle so that you will have an endless supply of bones? Wonder is @tonys has pulled that bank job yet?
We have missed our Lioness dear @Sophia1 but we are glad that you have come back. We do hope that you will try and stay here somehow. You don’t have to catch up, just pop in where you can.
How are you getting on now @LeChuck ? Are you feeling any better. Us ruffians need our town Sheriff back to keep us from burning the whole town down. It’s a wonder that the place is still standing.

Let me check Sophia1’s post again and then I will be back.

Re: Introduction

@tonys @Sophia1 @LeChuck

Ok I second Sophia1’s vote of officially renaming the town Grey Rock! Seems fitting as we have a couple of Indian characters.

I also vote that we name the saloon The Lucky 8 Saloon!

Waiting for others to cast their votes…

Re: Introduction

Helloooooo!

How are we guys? I'm not the best of company at the moment but I'm popping in when I can!

Let's get a rodeo in! Maybe we need a few cowboys to keep us company! Very cautiously, sneak em out the back of the rodeo under cover of darkness, lest we let the darkneas in. Do we know anyone weird enough to hang here?

Or we could keep the wagon parked and go out exploring in other towns, knowing we have a home to come back to.

Been cranking up the latest jinks from NF. It's pretty fantastic.  Song called hope is very very good.

Still on the lockup, struggling to read the wanted posters at the moment and keep up with the goss!

How are you all? @Sophia1 @Oaktree @tonys?

Sophia you're definitely as much a resident as all of us. You roar as loud or quietly as you want to. You name what you want and do what you want! That's what this thread is for 🙂 I love grey rock and 8 bit.

I don't think we need to worry about Grey Rock or the saloon. Might be some tumbleweeds sometimes but I think the bones are solid. If it starts to feel like a ghost town, we can always jump on a nag and take a ride to the nearest outpost and try to behave ourselves for a while! It'll be waiting for us.

The important thing is that we've kept this corner of the world a safe space. It's full of scoundrels, but they're loveable ragamuffins.

Highly recommend NF's new album "hope" for anyone who likes a bit of singing with a bit of rapping. It's a great album about his mental health. Very relatable

I'm going to randomly break the fourth wall, jump the shark, cross the border into the music threads territory and add a song, because I want to and that's how we roll in Grey Rock. Anything goes as far as I'm concerned. Suspect you will all hate it but that's ok!

Everyone hates my music on the music thread, soooo It's a hoedown in Grey Rock!! Listen, or not, but I don't feel anxious posting random stuff here. Might post a few paintings for the wall sometime, maybe a poem for the beautiful waitress or a jig for the barkeep. Would love if you guys also have some random things to drag into the saloon.

Good vibes to all, Lechuck xxx

Re: Introduction

I'm leaning into grey rock, I think when Toby's staggers out of 8bit and Sobers up he'll have no troubles. Besides I quite like rrey gock...
