chairs that convert to beds

Hello, I have had a recent experience caring for my mum in a hospital setting. I was there for 4 days and exhausted. I am looking at designing a chair that converts to a bed. Is there such a product already in existence?  I figure if the carer can be well rested while carer everyone wins !  Any ideas of where to start ?

Thanks so much - I would like a design that is lightweight and doesrnt take
up to much room. Are there any hospitals or nursing homes that already have
this type of thing in use ? I am thinking it would be great to have access
to a chair that converts to a bed - if they don’t supply beds for carers -
maybe on a ‘for hire basis’ what do you think? Thanks Helen

@Helen2018

I think children's hospitals provide these byo sleeping bag. I would ask at the hospital in the first instance to see if they have any.

Hi I think there is a big gap for carers in nursing homes and end of life
care - but not yet in palliative wards - thx so much Helen

They wheeled a bed in for me when my mother was in palliative so I could spend some nights with her.
