International Training for Leaders in Borderline Personality Disorder

NEA.BPDAust is launching Leaders training for the Family Connections programme. This globally renowned, evidence based programme is founded on the principle, "when you understand, you cannot help but love.  And when you love, you naturally act in ways that can relieve the suffering of people."

Leaders' training is aimed at carers of a BPD loved one and mental health clinicians who are interested in leading the 12 week Family Connections programme in their local community and helping local families in distress.  Leaders will receive specialist training from international experts Dr Roy Krawitz, FRANZP in Melbourne on May 2 and 3; and in Adelaide on June 29 and 30 from US based Professor Alan Fruzzetti, the co-author of this programme.  Full on-going support is provided to both Leaders and family participants in the form of individual manuals as well as access to trainers.

Family Connections has been running in the US for over 10 years and has a waiting list comprising over 1,000 families wanting to join the programme.  As a carer, I was fortunate to secure a spot in the programme three years a go.  The impact it made on our lives is the reason behind the creation of NEA.BPDAust and its Family Connections programme.

For additional information on Leaders training, pls email bpdaust@gmail.com or complete the registration form on the NEA.BPDAust web site at http://www.bpdaustralia.com/family-connections

Thanks Eagle for your lovely reply!  We receive regular and amazing feedback from family members who have completed  the 12 week Family Connections programme in the States.
