I wanted to share the common symptoms of ‘burnout’, as burnout manifests in different people. What below resonates with you?

Physical signs:

  • Feeling tired and drained most of the time
  • Lowered immunity, getting sick a lot
  • Frequent headaches or muscle pain
  • Change in appetite
  • Change in sleep habits

 Emotional signs:

  • Sense of failure and self-doubt
  • Feeling helpless, trapped, and defeated
  • Detachment, feeling alone in the world
  • Loss of motivation
  • Increasingly cynical and negative outlook
  • Decreased satisfaction and sense of accomplishment
  • Loss of creativity

 Behavioural signs:

  • Withdrawing from responsibilities
  • Isolating yourself from others
  • Procrastinating, taking longer to get things done
  • Using food, drugs, or alcohol to cope
  • Taking out your frustrations on others
  • Missing work or coming in late and leaving early

 Where are people feeling it at the moment?

Yup - can relate to those although for me my signs/symptoms predominantly sit in the emotional and behavioural categories :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Me too - not so much of the physical symptoms but right on for emotional and sometimes behavioural.

its hard for me to distinguish between burnout and my usual mental health stuff but right now im mostly feeling it in the physical side of things with the overall tiredness and lethargy, and im actually sleeping more which is unusal for me and just have the bleh type feeling...
